Based on what I've just googled I'd say you're jumping to conclusions. There's no info at at all on the Wii version of this game other than the fact that it's been announced.
I think SPore will be critically acclaimed and a GOTY candidate, but in terms of PC sales it will quickly fizzle due to piracy. I'll probably buy itbecause I think that good games deserve the support, unfortunatly the real world does not see it that way :(.

thats exacly what was done with the sims...so its very likely to happen here.

it wont...the game is essencial a very alternate MMO, and thus cant be pirated....
and the sims...which had no online component at all...has become the top selling gaming franchise.

made by the the same developer...and Spore is considered to be the evolution of the sims in terms of its design on the PC.
i hope my laptop can handle it =S if not ill just get the wii version. the only reason they'd need to gimp the wii version is cause the pc version will have all its content being downloaded from other players online. other than that it shouldn't be that diffrent since the wii mote and kb+m are very similar and the wii can easily handle its graphics.

it's just like a Sims game ... it is a fade .... you will play it, start doing the same things over and over again, put the game back on your shelf for it yo collect dust
