Same reason why the 360s lineup is now "dwarfed" by the future PS3 lineup. When situations in the war change, perceptions change.
Lemmings need to feel confident that the sudden PS3 surge is only temporary, and cows need to feel like they will eventually have the dominant lineup.

I think you pretty much summed it up there. So lemmings: stop making these hollow claims.

You won't change fanboys.
It has long been known that the PS3 is harder to develop for than the competition's consoles. What I notice recently though, is lots of people claiming that this will be the downfall of the PS3. Where is this coming from all of a sudden? The PS3 is picking up, commercially speaking, steadily outselling the 360 all over the world, and people start claiming the PS3 will fail because devs have trouble with the architecture. Is that just wishful thinking of lemmings or what? I think it's quite strange that I see so many people making such claims in recent times and did not when the PS3's commercial performance was nowhere near that of the 360, a moment in time in wich stating such things would be much more plausible. Now it seems the PS3 is bound to inevitably overtake the 360 in sales, becoming the platform with more game sales potential, which will lead developers into programming for it regardless of how difficult it is. Stating now that complex developing will kill it is a little late. NielsNL
Hi.
Those claims are just plain stupidness. If PS3 has A LOT of great games, developed by different developing groups (therefore they could DO it), why would be developers in aim to complain NOW? On the contrary, they know more about PS3 architecture, so now they have a wider and more solid base to begin new projects.
Bah, rubbish arguments.
I think it's mostly members of team Anti-PS3 looking for ways to make it look bad, and it appears they are getting desperate.

Bingo. I knew it would take time for developers to learn to use the PS3's hardware/software even before it was ever released after looking at some of the specs that was out at that time.

Infinity Ward Says developing for ps3 was a piece of cake.
And we all know how great COD4 was on PS3 so there you have it. The developers crying about Cell's architecture are just damn lazy.
