Well the only thing they could be displeased about is that sony doesn't market the ps3 as a gaming machine but adds on everything else that doesn't make it a gaming machine. I guess they could be a lil displeased but I think this has more to do with the ps3 having a bigger install base so its final fantasy games and such will sell better.

Sorry, but in the business world,you don't go in front of reporters and tell them the console maker needs to get their marketing straight unless you mean it as a warning. If Square wanted to give advice it would have been done behind closed doors.

With SE things usually aren't fickle in terms of exclusivity. They even came out the door saying The Last Remnant was for two consoles, I can't think of a game in their past that they've pulled that marketing tactic with.

Exactly if SE is dumb enough to to keep all of their Heavy hitters on a console that has only one game that has passed one million units then they are going to be in trouble.

Not neccesarily. They may just be the big seller on that platform without much competiton from other developers.

I don't think SE needs to worry about their titles. Some of their games are what make people get systems to begin with (ie "system sellers").

True but this generation is different from previous generations due to high dev costs. If they dont want to go out of business then they have to start thinking of ways to recoup some of the losses that they will be getting because as of right now the ps3 is even selling worst than the game cube in japan at this point of time.

PS3 Hardware won't sell because there is no System Sellers.

There are no System sellers because PS3 doesn't have a System seller.

True true.There is a strong possibility that SE games will not sell the ps brand this generation. Take Gundam in Japan as an example.Gundam is huge but that game didnt sell alot of units and it didnt sell alot of ps3's likewise everybody loves golf 5. The game has sold less than 600,000 units to a userbase that doesnt have alot of games to play with.

The point im trying to make is that SE games may not sell the ps brand this time around. They need something on the scale of GTA3.

The Xbox fanbase isnt the answer. They need to be bold and invest more money on the Wii because Japan has decided it wants the Wii as its primary console. Personally i would love to see SE games on the ps3 due to the specs of the ps3 and blueray but looking at the whole picture from a business point of view one can conclude that it wount take long before SE decideds to shift its rescources to the Wii.

Of course the ps3 is way more powerfull(for $500 it better be) but that is not the issue here. The issue is Wii running beautiful RPG's and i think it can run nice looking RPG's. FFCC for the Wii looks beautiful.
