You drove around to look at retail stores then come here and boast about it , how pathetic.blitzkid1
Not really, I had other things I had to do and these places were conveniently on my journey.
dude, the only thing that might come close to rival the halo 3 launch will be the WOW expanision... lol the Wii will never have alot of hardcore gamers to stand outside at 12 in the morning for a gameDazbot_Shoulda seen the crowd at the the local GameStop. Easily 75+ waiting outside, in a line, for the tournament, not the game, the tournament. It got bigger when they actually started selling the games. Or will you change your definition of "hardcore" to somehow invalidate that example?

Id say if your going to a store to buy a game at 12 AM so you can wait in line for at least an hour so you can get home and play the game from 1:45 to 3:00 AM then your hardcore in my books

i guess, but casuals are still lining up for wii's at 5 in the morning, so assuming that they wake up at 8, thats 3 hours less sleep. and assuming the people who go to midnight launches sleep at 12, thats also a three hour cut. i'd go but i preordered mine at circuit city, hope they have enough :P
or maybe most of the casuals are hardcore gamers in the disguise
WHats your image of a Hardcore Wii owner
Not to bash but I just find it funny when I think of an image of hardcore WIi owners

I recently just drove by several of my local game retailer stores and let me tell you, there are more people outside of Best Buy, Gamestop, EB Games, and Walmart then was the case about 6 months ago for Halo 3. Take that Halo 3!Shenmue_Jehuty
I was going to go to Gamestop last night to get the game but they were closed, so apperently there wasnt enough pre-orders to constitute a midnight launch. So I have to wait till the morning to get it. Halo 3 though the entire parking lot was packed and there was 100 people outside of my Gamestop. So in my town its no where close to being as big as Halo's release.
