I think it was because I've grown a hatred for the mess they call a game known as Smash Bros Brawl.

That game was so bad that it's blinded me to the other options on that system...

This is why Brawl Sucks. Not to mention the random elements that totally ruin the point of the experience.

I love brawl. It isnt as good as melee as a competitive fighter but it is easily the most fun for 4 player brawls.

Only on some levels and you've always had the option to turn items off. Now it's forced with Tripping.

The lack of decent online play ruined Brawl for me. I sold that game, and I haven't missed it!

First of all, Brawl is a wonderful game. Secondly, "The Wii really isn't that different from the GameCube"... How so? Ok lets see, the Wii has roughly a twice(maybe more than, maybe less than) as fast CPU/GPU.. over twice the RAM, has internal storage space, built in WiFi capabilities, wireless bluetooth controllers, and of course update able firmware support.. I admit, my GameCube had all that. Not to mention a disc format with more storage capacity, motion controlled wireless controller(I know I already mentioned wireless once, I don't care) with a IR pointer. Yeah, my GameCube had one of those. Oh, I forget it also has the ability to download classic games from countless classic consoles, My GameCube also did that. Weird now that I think of it, its just like the GameCube, sorta. Except its not. Wow. Built on the same architecture as the GameCube, yes... with upgraded hardware.. but isn't most PC's built on the same 'architecture' as previous PC's.. but with more powerful hardware?

ok then turn off the items and pick non hazard stages, tripping is not that big of a deal. I'm a competive Sonic player and tripping has never been that big of a problem for me,if I tripped I just roll away from the other player

Brawl doesnt suck, just because you probably couldn't let go of how the gameplay was in melee, does not mean that brawl sucks. Also, are you talking about tripping?

I love Brawl, and imo, tops Melee. Brawl packs so much more than the series has ever had. With an amazing soundtrack (Over 250 songs in the game is quite something), new features like Boss Mode and coin launcher, cameras, level builder, and so much more, I find it hard not to enjoy the game.

I don't have a problem with online, because I usually play with friends online, and online friend play on Brawl isn't broken. Not to mention, when I do search globally for random people, I usually do get people in my search.

Brawl is one of the few games that I still play to this day, almost a year now after its initial release.

By "not that much different than the gamecube" I'm talking about value and the type of games available, not the capabilities of the hardware itself.

You should specify that. You're right, GC offered GOTY caliber games, so does the Wii. You expect a 2 year old console to offer as many games as a 5+ year old console?

That goes back to my original point, I really think the reason I hate the Wii is because Brawl was such a bad experience. I should take another look at the console.

the great thing about brawl is that u can either play with skill(no random stuff. just remove items and go to F.D. or somethin), or just put random junk and go to a crazy stage. Brawl>Melee>first. why? because the series never actually downgraded. if what you're trying to say is that "Brawl wasn't as much of a big step as Melee" then I agree with you, but the series never downgraded. the biggest difference is that people are harder to knock of the field. well guess what? so are you. people complain so much about brawl that people like you make me sick

Tripping is the only bad thing Brawl has that the other games did not have and that's barely a reason to justify that the game "ruined the Wii." Unless you miss Mewtwo, Pichu, and Roy that badly. I agree that Melee was better combat wise. But not being better then the original does not equal a complete system failure.

SSBB is one of my favourite games on the Wii but it wasn't as good as it could have been. I hated the Adventure Mode and the online was far from perfect.

I kinda agree with you, I was so disappointed in SSBB that I saw no reason to own the wii. For one the online play sucked, so did the subspace emissary, and they missed with some of the characters. Especially Falco, they completely ruined him for me.
