My Wii is in the typical position of standing up while it plays games, however, I am wondering if this is fine for the discs. I also own a Xbox360, and playing with the 360 standing up is Taboo because we all know it will scratch your games, now my question is, does the Wii share that same shabby feature, or can I sleep without fear of my games being scrathed up?

I read an article a while ago (can't seem to find it) but it was saying how it's just better and safer to have the consoles (PS2, 360, Wii etc) lying down, to avoid any scratches.

I dont know if it really matters for the Wii. The 360 obviously has shown problems but the Wii's disc drive is pretty snug to begin with. I wouldn't think it to make a difference.

Still, my only reason for asking this is because you think a disc spinning continuously for hours (Damn you MP3) could cause harm to it...

I wanted to keep the Xbox 360 Up but that Flimsy Disc Tray is not sitting well IMO.

If it had a Slot Loader, I would keep it up, just to keep that mofo running cooler.

But I digress.

PS3 and Wii are both standing up.

lying down, the only reason people started standing their consoles up was cause of faulty ps1 hardware.
