STALKER 2 vs Far cry 6. Which open world FPS shown at E3 looks better among those?

This isn't the time or the place to be hyping Stalker 2 my friend. Better wait until E3 is over.

Edit: FC6 gets my vote.

FarCry will have way better gameplay and more variety. The mechanics have been polished over so many years. Stalker will have a heavier, more mature tone. That’s about it.

Stalker 2 will be marginally better.

You can play as a woman in FC6. Of course its better.

Far cry girl is generic "Lets free our people and Revolutionz" clitche.

Stalker 2 looks like something different far cry has been played out in my opinion.

Name me 5 other Lets free our people and Revolutionz women protagonists in FPS.

Far Cry 6 looks great and Giancarlo Esposito is fantastic. Can't wait.

Stalker 2 looks okay. It will no doubt have the same awful accents, stupid characters and pointless story as Exodus. The gunplay will probably be alright. Good candidate to play for free on Gamepass, I wouldn't buy it in its own right.

Far Cry looks like more Far Cry. Seems to be some noticeably poor facial animations as well.

Stalker 2 was, well... incredible.

Could it be a bullshit Cyberpunk 2? Possibly. Could it be dumbed down for console games? Possibly.

But taking the trailer alone, very sexy. Extremely erotic. Tissues.

no idea why you never liked Far cry 2 cup. It was more STALKERish than Far cry. it was immersive and atmospheric.

@ghosts4ever: As say before, ambition and execution are two things. We can admire ambition, but it doesn't excuse execution.

FC 6 will likely be just more of FC 3-5 but with a new story. If STALKER 2 is akin to a more stable and proper STALKER then it gets my vote. I put more hours into just modding that game than I played any of the FC games....but for the record, FC 2 still has graphics that hold up pretty damn well today. I can only hope that FC 6 is more like FC 3 than FC 5, not that they are really that different or anything.

true. Deus Ex HR was masterpiece but it couldnot beat Deus Ex 1. HR was even consider consolized and dumbed down (although PC version use different UI) but still it become masterpiece.

Same thing Im expecting STALKER 2. Its very very hard for any game to beat Shadow of chernobyl.

I will play STALKER 2, even though my hopes after the trailer are very, very low, and my fears are looking to be realized.

I have no interest in any Ubisoft game whatsoever.

People underestimate Stalker, there’s a reason this game gets overwhelmingly positive reviews on steam to this day.

Stalker 2 looks quite intriguing but FarCry 6 gets my vote. I really liked everything that I saw on it.

Both look great, but Far Cry 6 might just be a bit more fun. I’m most likely going to play both.

I look forward to STALKER 2 infinately more than Far Cry 6, which I have zero intention of playing ever. That said, the STALKER 2 showing sucked humongous balls. No idea what you and cup liked with it (or if cup just keeps up the joke that he respects Ghosts a lot), but it was shit. STALKER 2 looks awful so far.

If STALKER was all about being locked into cutscenes and standing in the middle of a room surrounded by AK47s actively shooting at you while you take them all down without taking any damage, then I'd agree with you guys that it looks great.

Stalker 2 looks like a bad CoD mod made by talentless hacks.

1. Yeah, but that was like 3 seconds or something? The game looks great graphically, I agree about that.
2. I don't know. Now I'm just hoping that they wont. Or that it wont be very dumbed down.

Don't get me wrong, I still have high hopes and look very much forward to it. I'm just very sensitive to my favorite games tranforming into Call of Duty.

Amen to that. Everywhere I look people are hyped for the trailer and I’m just a bit bewildered as it’s…..not really what STALKER is, or ever has been? Even vanilla+ZRP is way off from that trailer.

I‘m hoping it was done predominantly for marketing purposes, but it honestly looks like it’s taking after Metro. STALKER has always been a largely niche in its appeal, and what makes it so great is nigh impossible to capture in a minute long snippet.

Fingers are crossed but my hopes are minimal.

I think I'll pass on Far Cry this year, I would like to be able to write this series off, 5 was disappointing, the FC3 remaster was just the most lazy port ever, and not graphically, I could have lived with that but the audio was shit, Ubisoft support is crap too.

Never played Stalker, but people have been singing its praises for years, so, if I had to choose, I would go with that.

Stalker 2 by far. Farcry hasn't interested me in a long time, and the gameplay trailer for Farcry 6 looked downright ugly in parts. I don't know what it is with Ubisoft games but I find the writing in them to be insufferable, like they are trying way too hard to be edgy and cool.

I think most people who got excited by the STALKER 2 trailer has never played STALKER. It's the best explanation I can think of.

Far Cry 6 is made by Ubisoft, thus Stalker 2 is by far the least shit of the two.
