Star Ocean 4 Internationl ( PS3 ) Hype Thread! and First Review!!

This is it, my second hype thread!!.. alright as everyone know or not know Star Ocean was released on Xbox360 almost a year ago and scored a 7.5/10 on GS, now that the game is coming to PS3 with more content and better looking what score do you think GS will give it?? i see there's no way for them to give it the same score.. my hype for this game is between 8.0-8.5!

Plot/Story: From (WIKI)

The Last Hope takes place on Earth in the year S.D. 0010 where the world is on the brink of destruction. In A.D. 2064 World War III broke out after several clashes between the World Republic Federation, the ruling government body on Earth, and its enemies around the world. Weapons of Mass Destruction were utilized by both factions of the war without hesitation, razing the lands on Earth. The declining situation lead the people to believe that the end of the world was nearing, but the critical situation forced both factions to declare a ceasefire. In the aftermath of the war, most of the Earth's population has been killed and the natural environment was deteriorating at an alarming rate.

The surviving population of mankind were forced to live in the confinement of underground cities and the countries banded together to form an organization known as the Greater United Nations. The Universal Science and Technology Administration or USTA was established by the Greater United Nations, its mission was to locate a new home planet for mankind in the far reaches of outer space. A.D. 2087, Professor Trillas Bachtein succeeded in his warp drive experiments which was a breakthrough in space travel. In S.D. 0001, the first year of the newly established Spacedate calendar, the USTA secretly put in motion its Space Reconnaissance Force or SRF project which would then in S.D. 0010 send the first human expedition into outer space to locate a suitable planet for the relocation of mankind.

Will score better no doubt the question is how much. I'm betting 8.Odrec

It might score lower since its 1 year old :P.

It's also gotten older and the games it will be compared to this time around will be better than the 360 release. I'm guessing it stays around the A range with an 8 being an outside possibility if all the "improvements" actually enhance the game.

I've looked into some of the extra features that have been added to the PS3 version, but I doubt it will be enough to make the score higher than the 360 version; so my prediction is 7.5. However, as long as the game doesn't suffer from any major technical issues, I'll probably pick it up.

BioShock came out a year later and it still recieved a 9 so im going to say this will get a 7.5 just like the x360 version.

I think that it will score like an 8; anyways, I don't care the score of the game, as soon as I get the money I'll buy this one. Need a RPG soon for my ps3. Miroku32

There White Knight Chronicles :P its already out.. i actually got it today.. and its an amazing game from what i played.. going to focus on getting a plat on it :P

Obviously it's improved...BUT it's a year old. I think it will be a 7.5 again. Maybe 8.0.

Yep. I think so too. At least it will be better than WKC though.

Still devastated with how hard it is flopping.

The fact you can change to japanese voice acting, alone makes this a 8 now.

honesty this is one of the few games that had just dreadful VA.

Thank god for FFXIII which has fantastic VA

and here's where we get to see all the pessimism Dx Personally I cant wait :D just wish i could pick it up on release day for once :o and yea this one will be better than the 360 version for sure, but just not by leaps and bounds!

360 versions had some issues, So if PS3 one improved them +new content i'll say AA.

I'll buy this down the line when it's much much cheaper, due to the fact that I already own it

Why isnt there an option lower than 7/A. Imo it will score lower since the game has huge flaws + its 1 year old.

I may get it after the price dropped, but now it isn't worth it rebuying it. Just not enough extras to make it worth it. It was a pretty good game, good to see the PS3 only owners getting it.

I do wonder if the people who are bashing the game really played it?
