360 rpg fans please dont hype infinite undiscovery this is another one of microsofts attempts to get to the japanese market, why did they even enter gaming is beyond me, but this game is going to be a rushed product, with a subpar story and characters. Star Ocean 4 will be tri-aces and squares reall game.

jrpgs need to die already. every single one trys to be like the one before it and after 15 years the genre is dead to me.

also they take almost no skill to play. grind your way to victory

Infinite Undiscovery is being made by Tri-Ace aswell. What makes you think there going to rush it. Lost Odyssey wasn't rushed. The only negative aspect of this game by the looks of the trailer, is the voice acting, everything else looks epic.

Infinite Undiscovery is being made by Tri-Ace aswell. What makes you think there going to rush it. Lost Odyssey wasn't rushed. The only negative aspect of this game by the looks of the trailer, is the voice acting, everything else looks epic.Dahaka-UK

I get it, start a thread where you purposely fish for a hundred post by trying to make child like post so that the lemms will respond. Let me just say this. Before you say anything about the PS3 or 360 period, look at which of the two actually deliver more consistently. Then explain where you actually think the 360 will get a rushed series ( multiplt titles) and all will be of lower quality. makes no sense.

i played about 10 hours of star ocean till the ends of time and i didnt like it. i thought it was decent but i didnt like the puzzles, i didnt like the combat and i didnt like the characters. I liked tales of symphonia way more. maybe im just not big on Jrpgs or rpgs in general. thought ToS was one of my favorite games.

None of there games are rush jobs. If this game turns out bad for any reason then it's Tri-Ace's fault, not Microsofts. Just like it was Mystwalker's fault making that super shallow JRPG Blue Dragon. Although they got it right with Lost Odyssey.

wow. Thats it. Really. 'Sigh':|. This is my last contribution to your thread as I will not contribute 50 post to this lame subject. You are saying Sony games have better quality in the animation and graphics department. The #1 Japanese delveloper licenses An American engine for it's games. (yes while having it's own) That engine was not paid for because they can beat it. That engine in use actually runs better on the 360. ..... Now Sony and Microsoft will only produce products as good as the developers. So what you mean to say is Sony has the best devlopers in your mind. However I would dispute that, as even the best Japanese Developer can attest the west has built a reputation for quality games. They actually envy some of the success of some of the western RPG's. I can name a few but we all already know them. Logic says, Some games are going to have extremely high production, but dont mistaken pretty movies, and wonderful cloth physics for the technial accomplishment of some of the western dev's you are clearly insulting. Now I know your response will be 4 words long, probably childish but I wanted you to look back at this and know. You are wrong. This thread is very lame, and America just landed on Mars and is looking for life. This thread is single handedly the opposite of that. Think about it.

it was mine too. The story had a huge twist near the end. I really loved the story.

I will say time and time again Blue Dragon was a great game. I would have rated it a 8.

WHAT?

Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Project Gothem Racing 4, FOrza 2, Viva Pinata, etc

All funded by microsoft, all were good games, and in certain cases had a long dev cycle.

how is infinite undiscoverey rushed? Its been in development for awhile now, they just recently started showing stuff for it.

The 360 has more critically acclaimed games this gen. Microsoft has published(funded) more critically acclaimed games this gen.

Majority of there games are fine tuned, polished and very well done so far. Infinite Undiscoverey's only major visible flaw is going to be the american dialogue and voice acting. Everything else could still be great.

I don't know enough about either to say anything, but I agree about Microsoft failing with Japanese games. Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were dissapointing.

This is a game from Tri-Ace that has been in development for a few years. As for Microsoft, I guess they got in the industry for the same reason Sony did, maybe they both should drop out... add Nintendo to the list:|

I don't know enough about either to say anything, but I agree about Microsoft failing with Japanese games. Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were dissapointing.

Lost Odyssey was a very good game. Blue Dragon sucked hard. The sales don't show that for Lost Odyssey.

But it did get a bunch of good scores(with some average ones, expected for most JRPGs). but all in all it was a good game.
Both systems have under delivered in the JRPG department. Its been 360 leading the PS3 so far with Eternal Sonota and Lost Odyssey versus Folklore.....

Nothing much from either side.
