3 disc is a lot this day and age and I can't even name 5 games with 2 dics. Makes me wonder how many disc FFXIII is going to take 5? Whats your take on this and how many discs this is taking up? By the way how many discs is Fallout 3?odin2019
1 disc, just like Oblivion. Multi-disc games suck. Just look at FFVII and MGS, both of those games are terrible!!b
Just for the record, I'll take one minute to swap a disc over a five minute load screen between acts any day. (I'm looking at you MGS4).
This is a shocking development. Really though, who cares? It's blown out of proportion just like mandatory installations.

Here is a link to a link that says that GTA V may not be possilbe on the 360 due to disc swapping and what not. There just seems to be a lot of talk about the 360 just using discs that are slightly bigger than a dvd.

Man, this is really not looking good for my 360. lol The damage control in this thread makes me laugh. The problem with multiple discs is that if you lose one or one becomes damage, then you are screwed. You cant finish the game, unless you buy the game all over again.WalterPaladines
That can be said about anything, if you lose a PS3 game, you're screwed, if you lose the keys to your car you're screwed, if you lock yourself out of your house, you're screwed.

There's a higher probability of something going wrong with more discs, you could scracth one, or lose it, or lend it to a friend and he loses it.
No, not really, the disc should will only be out when its in use, if not, it should be in its case. If you lose the case, with the game in it, well, sucks to be you, but again, same thing, if you lose the case for MGS4 with MGS4 in it, you're screwed. Usually, when people lose stuff, its their own fault.
EDIT: And yea, I don't mind multi-disc games, I own a PS3 and IMO, the installs are more annoying than disc swapping. BTW, has anyone tried installing a multi-disc game on the 360's HDD? I haven't tried it, if so, how does it work?

Never had a problem scratching or losing any of my Final Fantasy 8 or Final Fantasy 9 discs. I just don't want disc swapping to come back.
Fallout 3 is on one disc. If they can fit that much on one disc, I think they should be able to do the same for most other games, but meh, what do I know? rolo107nope, you are right. if final fantasy 13 wasnt made by the japanese, it would only be on 1 disc as well since the 3 discs worth of cutscenes wouldnt be in there.

Sounded funny in the given context....as if I wouldn't be screwed if I lost the disc of my one-disc game. I call grasping for straws on this one; there are better examples of why multiple discs is an issue, this isn't one of them from my point of view.

Installing multi disc is nice cause i can install disc 1 and 3 and not 2 or 4 and it will still work either way you can swith them out with no problems and they all still run finewhat if Cry On is on 10 discs  :P[QUOTE="Dante2710"]i guess everytime we see a game on the 360 with multiple discs, cows are going to turn this into some of worthy thread, sad sad cowslawlessx
btw do you really think i should get LO after im finished with TOV?
 the more the merrier lol and yeah you should, amazing game, i still need to finish it myself, but you`ll fall in love with the written memories[QUOTE="edo-tensei"]what now cows don't remember the ps1 days lolsignorethe fact that you just compared the 360's hardware limitations to a 15 year old,,, and meant it seriously a joke. the fact that having multiple disc does no affect the quality of the game shows how sad fanboys are

MS would probably stick them all into one DVD case too. :D
I think the better question is why do people try to make it matter? :?musicalmac

Personally i loved LObtw do you really think i should get LO after im finished with TOV?

The only downside about the game are the written dreams(but are interesting to read). I recommend you buy it.
I have yet to beat it because I'm trying to get all the side-quests done before I do so. :P
