3 disc is a lot this day and age and I can't even name 5 games with 2 dics. Makes me wonder how many disc FFXIII is going to take 5? Whats your take on this and how many discs this is taking up? By the way how many discs is Fallout 3?

I would be worried if it wasn't on multiple discs. It's a JRPG that will use a lot of CGI

I don't see what the big deal is, I mean, its disk swapping.

Yeah I wouldn't care either. It takes 2 seconds to swap discs? Nobody should be complaining about this.

1 disc, just like Oblivion. Multi-disc games suck. Just look at FFVII and MGS, both of those games are terrible!!b

Just for the record, I'll take one minute to swap a disc over a five minute load screen between acts any day. (I'm looking at you MGS4).

This is a shocking development. Really though, who cares? It's blown out of proportion just like mandatory installations.

Here is a link to a link that says that GTA V may not be possilbe on the 360 due to disc swapping and what not. There just seems to be a lot of talk about the 360 just using discs that are slightly bigger than a dvd.

This is why blu-ray is in the future of gaming. Devs want to make higher quality games that require more space yet are restricted by the dvd's limited storage. Blu-ray gives the devs more freedom.

how dare they provide even more contect to their game! Obviously everything should be cut to fit it onto 1 disk! Disk switching requires too much energy! My heart rate could increase as I move around and I could lose some weight! No one wants that. Seriously though, not a big deal.

And how many 360 games have multiple disks? 4? 5? Not a lot when you count how many PS3 games have mandatory installs...

The problem with multiple discs is that if you lose one, or one becomes damaged, then you are screwed. You cant finish the game, unless you buy the game all over again.

That can be said about anything, if you lose a PS3 game, you're screwed, if you lose the keys to your car you're screwed, if you lock yourself out of your house, you're screwed.

There's a higher probability of something going wrong with more discs, you could scracth one, or lose it, or lend it to a friend and he loses it.

There's nothing wrong with multiple disks in my opinion. I'm just glad publishers are willing to pay Microsoft royalty fees for each multiple disk.

No, not really, the disc should will only be out when its in use, if not, it should be in its case. If you lose the case, with the game in it, well, sucks to be you, but again, same thing, if you lose the case for MGS4 with MGS4 in it, you're screwed. Usually, when people lose stuff, its their own fault.

EDIT: And yea, I don't mind multi-disc games, I own a PS3 and IMO, the installs are more annoying than disc swapping. BTW, has anyone tried installing a multi-disc game on the 360's HDD? I haven't tried it, if so, how does it work?

You scratch a single disc game, you're still screwd, you lose a single disc game.. you're screwed.. your friend loses a multi or single disc game or scratches it.. guess what, your friend should replace it then :) Whether its a multi disc or not game.

I'm not worried about that. Never had a problem scratching or losing any of my Final Fantasy 8 or Final Fantasy 9 discs. I just don't want disc swapping to come back.

nope, you are right. if final fantasy 13 wasnt made by the japanese, it would only be on 1 disc as well since the 3 discs worth of cutscenes wouldnt be in there.

Sounded funny in the given context....as if I wouldn't be screwed if I lost the disc of my one-disc game. I call grasping for straws on this one; there are better examples of why multiple discs is an issue, this isn't one of them from my point of view.

Installing multi disc is nice cause i can install disc 1 and 3 and not 2 or 4 and it will still work either way you can swith them out with no problems and they all still run fine

I'm going to echo anyone who feels it doesn't matter. Blue Dragon had 3 or 4, so did Lost Odyssey. It really doesn't hamper your experience... I think the better question is why do people try to make it matter? :?

part of the reason why the reviews were mixed is because they got an early version of the game with longer loading times and more framerate issues. Personally i loved LO

Don't let the reviews fool you. It's a really good game that should be played by every 360 owner :)

The only downside about the game are the written dreams(but are interesting to read). I recommend you buy it.

I have yet to beat it because I'm trying to get all the side-quests done before I do so. :P
