[QUOTE="deadmeat59"]meh games should not be based around controlls . jharv
Thanks I'll remember that one :D
lolz
The controls still seem a little iffy, but it could be a good game.
Still, every time they mention the graphics and physics it makes me sad that this is pretty much a PS2 port. The Wii is no where near close in power to 360/PS3, but it is still held back by a console with 1/3 of its power. It just makes me sad thinking that if they could utilise the PS2 this well, think how great they could use the Wii's specs.
*sigh*
Well, at least the Wii is getting the game, and (hopefully) not as a crappy port, still better than most multiplats.
meh games should not be based around controlls . it makes it very gimickydeadmeat59
Yeah, they should be based on graphics, real smart  *hint* Lair *hint*
I don't think any PS3 or 360 owners (most of them) would even care about the Wii version.
I mean lets be real here. The Wii version isn't exactly going to receive that much hype and awe compared to its 360 & PS3 counterparts.

What should games be based on then? Pretty graphics? If so, Lair is awesome...

Same thought I had about PES 2008

I think he's saying that games should be built around a gameplay premise, not building the gameplay around the limitations or abilities of a controlling peripheral.
And Lair was not built around graphics, Lairs problem is the exact problem that deadmeat59 was talking about. It was a game that built its fundamental gameplay mechanics around a control feature (motion) and the gameplay was a miserable failure.
Once again a multiplat that I'll buy on a next-gen system and not the Wii. Why? From these previews it sounds like the same thing that put me off about SMG and MP3 - playing the game will be like a series of minigames. The Wii Remote is not one iota more immersive than any other control I've played with, and so I'll be getting the version that has the next-gen physics, AI, and environmental interactions.
Enjoy the Wii version - I'm not trying to hate.

Not to sound like a jerk or anything, but why do you own a wii?

You're not being a jerk, and the answer is simple and presented in two parts: A) I bought into the hype. B)Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
I don't even know if I'll buy another game for it - Smash lived up to its hype, but I still get the feeling I should have sold the system over the holidays so I could come out ahead on it.
Edit:
Playing SMG and MP3 was like playing a series of mini games? W:roll:w......
Frankly, yes. They keep throwing one-time use mechanics at you and then never using them again, ie. SMG "hold the remote straight up and tilt it to roll the ball." That's just one example, obviously, but that's how so many things on the Wii have felt to me. I admit that there's some great technology in the Wii Remote - it just hasn't done anything to really pull me into a game. You're welcome to your opinion, but don't give me that   carp.
yep i bought my wii for nintendos 1st party titles only, any multiplatform game that comes out will be played on my 360
yeah it did the game sold over a million copies on the wii and also over a million copies on the ds you would think with these sales the dev would want to spend more time with the wii verison i bet the wii game will sell the most anywayWe'll see what the finished product looks like, but it sounds like another halfass to me. And I'm not sure why they'd half ass the Wii version considering Lego Star Wars sold the best on the Wii by quite a bit.

How do you come to that reasoning? :|
Anyway, I'm going to get it for 360. I got a Wii, because it has the most games I like, but if it's going to be better on the 360, then that's what I'll get it for.
meh games should not be based around controls . it makes it very gimickydeadmeat59Lol wat? First of all your saying every game with good control is a gimick LOL you should play Lair, you'll love it :D. Also the whole point about the wii is not its next gen graphics as it doesn't have anything on the 360/PS3 but its unique controls, so heah WTF man.

You're absolutely right. Sheep need to learn that Galaxy isn't such a showcase for the Wii's motion sensing. It's a damn good game, but many of the instances where the Wii Remote is used innovatively is never revisited again. Ball rolling and ray surfing are only used in two to three levels... and that's if you're going for every single star.
