[QUOTE="Vyse_The_Daring"]I've never seen that second one. Wow I hope this game delivers. Felous1I thought those 2 were completely new ? I've seen the wood breaking demonstration before for sure. Maybe they are just showing it again.
its being showed on the 360, i can tell because of the horrible frame rate, like all xbox1.5 gamesl1mItTroll. >_>
Anyways, that seems pretty impressive. Good to see that Lucasarts has been doing some work in the technical department. >_>

Phailure is an option for you isn't it?
Anyways, I REALLY hope that Lucasarts live up to the promise on this game. I'm a huge Star Wars nut and this looks fun :D
I am prepared to do your bidding, Lord Vader. *lightsaber hums*

Lucasarts always has good quality games. (Galactic battlegrounds is the only exception)Something tells me there wouldn't be all that much wood in SPACE

Man why can't this game come out for the pc? I just know it's going to suck so much more using a thumbstick instead of the mouse when dueling. Also this means no more mods like Force and omni. :(Renegade_FuryUsing a mouse for dueling? Are you serious?:?

That wood seemed rather week. Hell, in the second vid they were being used as support beems, yet they shattered the second the weight of an average sized man is put on them? That's horrible.makingmusic476It's a demo..they can change what the material is and give it those properties. It wouldn't be very interesting if it were steel and wouldn't break under the weight of the Storm Troopers.

Right because Endor was made completely out of metal and transparisteel.

They're old and not really for Force Unleashed but rather for the euphoria engine itself, also these are just a fraction of the full demo Felous. Check out the metal deformation stuff

wheres the " metal deformation stuff "That wood seemed rather week. Hell, in the second vid they were being used as support beems, yet they shattered the second the weight of an average sized man is put on them? That's horrible.makingmusic476I noticed that too. The support beams, meant to support the weight of metal girders and walkways, can't support the weight of a single person? :|
The framerate is due to the engine. Take the Battle For Middle Earth2 for example, that had horrible frame rates, it was the same for both versions of the game. And if you were to take the PC version and play it on a top of the range PC it would still have those rubbish frame rate problems. Can all these fanboys please shut up about the framerate because they know as well as I do this is due to the software engine, it has absolutely nothing to do with the hardware. The xbox 360's multithreaded core is better for physics anyway, the cell is more designed as a blueray decompressor. Oh and all you PC people, YES WE KNOW your hardware is vastly superior, we don't need you reminding us.
Rant over, I'll go rest now...
It is great to see innovation, but those demos had poor frame rates. It was just a single plywood board, too.Berserker_2I'm pretty sure this isn't new, and last time I saw this, there were dozens of other destructibles in the room too.

That's horrible.makingmusic476They are called tech demonstrations for a reason, to demonstrate technology. Which they would utterly fail at if the wood wouldn't break. And as is also demonstrated in the video, they can set the strength of the materials. If they want to make near indestructible wood they could. IMO Euphoria seems more iffy. It's an amazing technology that could lead to awesome, dynamic gameplay, but currently it doesn't look all that natural. Characters behave a bit too much like what they actually are, ragdolls controlled by AI.

What games are you talking about? Name ONE high quality game developed INTERNALLY by LucasArts in the last 10 years. You can't. Maybe Ep 1 Racer. All the other "good quality" games over the last 10 years have been developed externally - KOTOR by Bioware, KOTOR2 by Obsidian, Battlefront duo by Pandemic, LEGO games by Traveller's Tales, etc.
THE reason I am worried about this game is the fact that it is being developed by LucasArts internally. Have them be an advisor, work with their Euphoria engine, work with ILM and their models/environments/etc. but please don't have LA develop this game internally!
