Star Wars forced unleashed Thoughts?

just downloaded the demo. i must say i was excited about this game because the new engine looked great and the fact you can do crazy powers were awsome. So i played the demo and it feels like im playing "Ironman" again. its that same half baked not in control game. The targetting system and the jumping mechanic just do not mix creating fustraition. i was able to deal with it, however when my bro played it he threw the controller down replying how this game sucked. Not to mention the graphics on the ps2 version prolly doesnt have to be toned down much, the ps3/360 version isnt to impressive, i thought the cutscean was good graphics however in game it seemed blurry and bold. Idn for such a crazy hyped game it really was a letdown, im thinking its gonna get a 7.5 but i think from the demo it deserves a 6.5-7.

-Then again i cant judge story or anything. I honestly beleive tho the psp version of the game will be the best (play the demo and ud know why)

It's pretty amazing man IMO,

Yes its a great game once you get into the groove you feel totally bad ass.

hogwash i thought it was fun...and you know there will be a ton of more moves and combos available...what was available felt good.

you gamers are getting harder and harder to please tryin to sound like psuedointellectual snobs trying to review a game as if your game journalists or something

could not agree with you guys more, was looking forward to this one but the controlls hold it back from greatness

Well I for one, thought the DEMO was OMG AMAZING!

Can't believe you guys dislike it.... Maybe being a StarWars fan, makes me like it more than a non-StarWars fan would.... but I really could not find any flaw with the game.

Visuals - 9.0

Gameplay - 9.5

Sound - 9.0

Fun Factor - 9.5

I love Starwars but the game could have been better, visuals great I have no problem with the way it looks but the gameplay feels off, the lock on should have been done with the right stick not left, moving when I'm blocking would have been great and I found no use for jumping at all just use the dash

it's pretty good, but once again nothing super special awesome.

i would say around 8.5 or so if the entire game is as good as the demo.

I found the demo to be just okay, I guess I raised my expectations too high. I was kind of let down by the controls, would be nice if aiming with the force grip was a bit more precise. And it wouldn't hurt to be able to evade while blocking ala NG and GoW.

Speaking of GoW, I wish there wasn't a button sequence to finish the boss in 'force unleashed', maybe that was the only time but it's likely not. :(

Dang. I found the demo pretty intense. But hey, it's all about the player. One player may make the game look bad, one player will play good and therefore make the game look good.

Example: E3 videos from people on the floor playing the games for the first time. I watched a video recently from GC though where someone was playing Mirror's Edge, which is an amazing looking game. The player, however, was so bad, that he made the game look bad.

Maybe some of you should give it another chance.

Controls lacked a cancel option for your attacks, the guy feels unresponsive and out of control.

The camera needs some work.

He should not fall of a ledge because he is swinging his sword, he is a freaking jedi.

QTE to kill an AT-ST? Why not let me just slice it up with my lightsaber that cuts through almost anything. I can imagine the final part of the jedi-fights in this game will be QTE.

No dodge roll in block, though there is a force dash option.

The story feels forced(no pun intended) to be a generic one because of the key characters

A.I wasn't smart in Hard. Their blasters just got more power.

I guess games like DMC, NG and some of god of war(though it be filled with QTE) has spoiled me a little.

This could probably been a better game if they haven't fired the developers. Me hopes it gets 7 and lower, just because they fired the developers during production.

And every game deserves a shot. You might up enjoying feeling like a bad ass jedi, even though it ain't polished.
