Pedro this is System Wars. Nothing is good on Xbox and if Gamespot says it is then Microsoft must have paid them.

"On a final note, Survivor's technical performance is a stumbling block that must be noted. Playing on Xbox Series X, I experienced random crashes on a number of occasions, all annoyingly during cutscenes before the game had a chance to autosave. On one unlucky (anddeeplyfrustrating) occasion, the game crashed during the cutscene following an especially challenging multiple-phase boss fight that had taken me many attempts to finally beat. Because of the crash, my progress was lost and I had to fight the boss half a dozen timesagain, earning a victory that felt so much more hollow than the first time I beat him. On PlayStation 5, a colleague reported some occasional stuttering, screen-tearing, and crashing too, and the PC version also has a variety of technical issues relating to in-game presentation, performance, and hardware optimization."

It's going to need some patches on all plats.

I just read on the media tweets their review copy is PRE day one patch.

That is weird it is mentioned in the review and not in the cons.

If anyone cares- I got Fallen Order digitally this past Black Friday for $6. So able to get the game for almost nothing 3 years after launch. I expect this game to go on sale quite quickly. I'll likely bite when I can get it under $30, whether that's this Black Friday or next.

True. But based on the cons, it sounds like PC and PS5 struggled the most. I am surprised they reviewed all three versions actually.

Yeah reads like XSX only has the crashing issue while PS5/PC have a litany of issues.

pretty sure Gamepass now includes EA Access, which gives you a 10-hour trial for every EA release. I used it for NFS Underground and it worked fine

I doubt it, they might cut off your progress at a certain point. I think they did that with Squadrons which did have a campaign you could complete in under 10 hours - you could only do the first few missions and multiplayer

Eight is great! Kind of tempted to get it right away but honestly I really shouldn’t. Have way too many games to play as is. Will probably just wait. At least it’ll be cheaper or better yet on Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play.

hopefully its better than some modern games like God of War or Plague Tale that just straight up tell you how to do puzzles after like 15 seconds. that is not a "quality hint system"

@with_teeth26: yeah, not played plague tale but ragnarok is by far the worst offender of that. a quality hint system is one that needs to be enabled in the settings. dont remember seeing that option in gowr

This is definitely best on Xbox Series X.

When I heard the file size on PS5 was bigger than XSX I knew the PS5 version was gonna be in shambles.

It's been a while since SX had a big win. DF might break out those benchmarking tools for this one.

I wouldn't be surprised if Alex Battaglia covers this. The last time Alex Battaglia covered a console comparison was A Plague's Tale Req when XSX had a significant lead over PS5, which is also ironically the last time they did a benchmark between PS5 & XSX & spoke about Tflops advantages.

I hope there is a day-one patch that cleans up the overall experience. These devs can't be asking for $70 and giving unstable gaming performance and experience.

Capcom got away with it on RE4R but I think that was only $60, but still

In fact I think Dead Island 2 been the most stable release we've seen between all platforms in a while.

Devs aren't required to utilize PS5 specific tools to make games better on that specific platform the same way they aren't required to use XSX specific tools.

I didn't buy the original Jedi Fallen order because that game was also under utilized for PS5 compared to XSX as well. I don't need PS5 to be better but when devs don't use basic features that PS5 offers like PS5's data compression for file size I won't bother with that title.

It's a W for Xbox Series X! I'll be happy to report on this great win for XSX the same way I do for PS5 👍

Might pick it up, maybe wait to see what day one patch does to the issues noted. But I should within a day or two have $40 worth of Xbox rewards to put toward it, with the 10% off, get it for $23.

I preordered it for Series X. And yet just a week or so ago I told myself to never pre-order anymore because the game could be a pile of shit on one system vs. the other system. I am at the point in gaming that I just want the best experience day one, not specific platform experience.

I need to commit to my commitments better. For all we know, day one patch could make the PS version blow the XSX version out of the water.

I think if you have Game Pass Ultimate you can play 10 hours of the game.

I'm also one of the fools who will already pre-order it for PC/EA App cause I love the first game and happened to be a Star Wars fan so of course I'm not gonna miss this sequel. I love Uncharted games and if you give me Uncharted mixed with Star Wars, I'll be a happy camper...as long as its good & fun of course.

Anyway, I'll be playing it all day this Friday and glad its getting rave reviews.
