Star Wars: KotOR!

After thinking about this game last week for the first time in years i got a wild hair up my butt and decided to play the game through agian on the dark side. I played the game all week, put 59 hours on it and used Gamebanshee.com as my consultant for the maximum experience since i already beaten the game. I would never discrace a game on this magnitudeby cheating my first time through!

I have something to say here that will cause some contorversy (spelling) I dont really know if its b/c i just got done beating it and im still excited about it or what! but b/f i say what i really wanted id like to let everyone who enters and reads this that i am a seasoned gamer who has played and beaten hundreds of AAA titles and non AAA titles ranging from all consoles hell evenover thousands!Id also like to say that KotOR has won 40 game of the year awards in total.

Im really having trouble contiplating if i truly think this game is better than what alot of us consider the greatest and most perfect game ever! Zelda OoT, yes i siad it and i truly believe this. As much as i love Morrowind i cant decide if its better or not!

This is however my opinion & im speaking purely from the heart here! If u respond please seriously dont be a casual hater! This was on the xbox along time b/f it came to the PC id like to convince those that have not played this to seriously pick this game up b/c if it isant better than zelda OoTand morrowind then its deff in the top 5 best games ever made.

closing comments: KotOR1 had the best plot twist and best story in any rgp or game ever imo but even KotOR2 was a good game, it didnt even compare in story or originality.

I have a question though! While i was playing through the game i was haveing daja vu about playing onDantooine AFTER the academy was blew up and also fighting Madalore leader of the madalorians WITH Canderious so am i thinking of KotOR2 or did i miss my oportunity to visit The academy after it was destroyed? What of Madalore i swear i remember way back when fighting him with candorious but notin KotOR2!

How can you play it for 50 hours?

I did all but a handful quest on my first playthrough and I barely clocked 20 hours..

Ah well thanks god for that force speed, if it wasn't for that it would probably take a few more hours lol.

And yes , you're right. The plot twist is pure genius. If you replay the game , you'll notice how Bioware drops clues of it throughout the story, but you don't notice it until it smacks you in the face.

I didnt know he was madalore although i might have forgotten but where am i thinking about where u fight a bunch of Madalorians in this base of theres where they have a camp or something where u can do some quests for the camp leader Iwhitch i thought was madalore!), NOT the ones in Kashyyk or Dantooine or the island where u finnally meet the Star forge creaters!

Its a very good game..

But some lackluster enviroments, too long transportation distances (lots of distance too cover when doing quests) and a rather bad combat system compared too normal DD rules ruins the package a bit. Although the story and characters are great.

And I never got one thing, but why is force speed the only way too gain additional attacks per round? If you play with single weapon you will have twice as much damage playing without armor as with armor, and the armor differencre will be close too 0...

If only it would be more like BG 2..

really? i found kotor 1 story better. i found the story better than the actual star wars movies. i found the gameplay better in jade empire compare to kotor fight and pause system.

as for kotor 2 i say jade empire had a better story.

Kotor is by far the best game on the xbox and comes in around 4th for me of the best games of all time.

I only played kotor 2 for around 2 hrs and i didn't like it at all for some reason.

You are right i havent and honestly i have never heard of BI!

KotOR is one of my most beloved games.

But, it took you 59 hours to go through the game in it's entirety? Never takes me more than 20 hours. And that's completing every single sidequest.

It was 2 years at least b/f the last time i beat it and i truly forgot alot of things i figured this time ill do everything i mean everything the game had to offer and take my time while doing it. my total game time was more than 50 accually i had 59 hours and 34 minutes lol i went and checked!

Ill prolly never touch the game for another 5 years for good measure since i have a good memory and hopefully by that time ill have forgotten agian! 20 hours? you must have rushed through the dialog a bucnh i myslef cant stand the male twilek dialog it makes me want to kill kittens!

Well, mostly it's just because I know exactly where to go and exactly what to do.

I usually do rush through the dialogue, but if I don't, it doesn't increase my game time an appreciable amount.

Errr....go and buy Fallout 1, 2 and Placescape : Torment IMMEDIATELY.

KOTOR is one of Bioware's worst titles imo.

KOTOR is, for someone who's never played a real RPG before, great.

KOTOR is, for someone who has played just about every half decent hardcore RPG there is, pure crap.

I think your right, but overall its a different RPG even for hardcore rpg fan. I bought my Xbox and Kotor came with it. It is such a great game, the story, the universe. I really enjoy it.
