Exactly. I believe Garnett Lee on this one. After seeing BFMEII and C&C3 on 360, I am pretty sure Blizzard will bring StarCraft to consoles.

Do I have to have a link? I said it was on Attack of the Show on The Loop with Garnett Lee from 1UP. It's not very kind or nice to suspend someone just because they make a thread on something they heard on a show tbh. There are many people who are rude and arrogant and get away with it, but I am a rather good poster, and I get suspended for posting something I heard, and something that wasn't insulting or flamebait.

You're misinformed. Like WoW, Starcraft 2 will be a PC exclusive. I'm glad I could clear that up for you. 

I can vouch for him. I was just watching the re-run of Attack of the Show and the guy said HE thought it would be out Christmas 2008 for consoles and PC. Just speculation but the guy is from 1up and they have pretty good connections in the game industry.JiveT

I think you got the wrong. Kevin asked when they think it may be released. Lee said it won't be this year and most likely will be slated for Christmas 2008. As for the consoles he speculated that the release date might be 2008 because they might be working on Starcraft 2 for consoles. Lee never said that development for the consoles was forsure. He said probably. Big difference.

I'm not so sure...BfME2 on 360sold like crap and cnC3 while it's selling better also isn't really doing all that well(150K in a week)

with such low sales it makes more sense to put the effort into other pc projects. 1UP is often talking nonsense, if Blizz would have any plans to put SC 2 on consoles they wouldn't have closed and disbanded all their console teams few months ago.

Also keep in mind that Blizzard is insanely tight lipped about their games. As much as I like the guy, Lee is talking out of his ass.

He did say it will be on consoles. I know I heard it correctly. But who really knows, I guess. We'll just have to wait and see.

Starcraft will do very well on the 360.

if it does come to consoles, it'll definitely give me pause. I sure do enjoy my 7.1 surround-sound system these days, and getting in on the console would allow me to continue using it ;)

on the other hand, there's nothing like a mouse and keyboard for controlling units. BFME2 and C&C3 are awesome for th 360 and the control implementation is brilliant, but still not as fast or easy as using a keyboard & mouse.

He did say it will be on consoles. I know I heard it correctly. But who really knows, I guess. We'll just have to wait and see.

I wouldn't say it sucked. Compared to it on the PC it was nothing but for a long time it was the only good console RTS.

However it's not a "Wait and See" situation. Either Lee misspoke or you heard him wrong. Starcraft 2 (If it's anything like Starcraft 1) is simply too fast for console controllers. Sure, there was a N64 version but it didn't had to deal with online. The N64 crowd would have been trampled on by PC users.

Also, as stated in the Dev video, Blizzard doesn't want to deal with another party when it comes to Bnet. They want complete control which is not possible via the 360 nor the PS3. Another thing you need to keep in mind is that Blizzard has stated before that when they actually do make a console game, they want to offer something different to console crowd than what the PC crowd is getting, which is why Ghost was being developed. If there is going to be a Starcraft game, Ghost will be it.

When was the last time Blizzard released console game since the failure that was StarCraft 64.
