Starcraft II's First Month Sales Are In

Starcraft II sold a million copies in its first 24 hours on sale. Not bad, but not as great as the last new Blizzard game to be released. How'd it do, then, in its first month on sale?

Better. Blizzard just revealed that the real-time strategy smash has sold over three million copies worldwide since its release last month. For a PC (and Mac!) game in 2010, those numbers aren't good, they're great. Especially when you consider that, like almost every other game Blizzard has ever made, it'll likely still be registering sales ten years from now.

But but PC games don't sell... everyone pirates pc games.

yeah, this is expected, starcraft 2 is kind of a slow burner...

Because of the high Xbox 360 piracy rates!! :P Good news, and well deserved. Starcraft 2 is truely a masterpeice. One of the best games I've ever played, period. :)

I can't speak for the state of PC gaming in general. But at least I can now see why MS let go of the ACES team and the Flight Simulator label..... The big industrial giant Lockheed Martin snapped it up for professional training use lock, stock, and barrel. It's now known as Prepar3D:
