State of Decay 2 or Detroit. Which will score higher on GS?

Detroit. I expect a 7 for SoD and a 9 for Detroit.

I feel both with score the same.

State of poor sales will flop, the box doesn't have a good install base and PC Gamers don't like movie games.

Stace of Decay is a movie game?

I thought it was an open world RPG with 4 player co-op.

These were the 2 best games at pax east this year. I said it before and Ill say it again... Detroit was the best looking game at the entire con.

I don't know about Detroit but SoD2 will not score well here, they already made up their mind with the preview they recently released. Its a small studio and I'm happy if they could just have coop and add new things, not expecting a genre evolution. Loved the first game and I just want more, dont care about the reviews for this one.

Well, games like GOW can't go 15-20 minutes without a cutscene so an hour of SoD2 without any cutscenes is a huge difference wouldn't you say?

My problem is most of my friends moved to PS4 and have no interest in picking up an Xbox one for one game. I'll still pick it up and enjoy it but it takes away some of the enjoyment for me.

SOD2 streams are up and running on Twitch for those who like to watch their games for free. Also, you can buy the $49.99 version of the game and play it today if you're into spending money on your games.

Sony's exclusive will score 8/9,while X1/PC exclusive will score below average,because Gamespot favors Sony and Nintendo games and not MS.

Well, for you, SOD is more of a movie than GOW is for me. Better play SOD to fix that.

@Bread_or_Decide: well, since you can watch the game and know everything about it just by watching it, one can conclude it's a movie game. That's the argument Lems keep using for GOW despite it having more gameplay than actual cutscenes.

Let's not forget Lems say Witcher 3 and GTA V are not movie games despite being FILLED with cutscenes and conversations.

David Cage game. Bleh.

Knack 3 could release next to State of Decay 2 and would probably score 2/10 points higher. Granted, Detroit looks good, so it'll probably do well, meanwhile MS exclusives of any caliber will get over-scrutunized so even if the game is great I expect nothing better than a 7/10 from GS.

Personally, I'm excited to play both.

Detroit. Gamespot people love drama and story. Beyond 2 Souls is a 70 upon release on Metacritic but it got a 9/10 from Gamespot. They like these types of games. Until Dawn got a 9/10 here and is a 79. Gamespot likes thes games enough to be outliers.

State of decay will be a 6/10 gamespot and 72 meta.

Buy Until Dawn got an 8/10. And State of Decay also got an 8/10.

@Nike_Air: My bad it got an 8/10. The gameplay is still pretty shit Imo. Those cage like games gameplay don't keep me interested.

State of decay did get an 8. Gear of war got a 9.5/10 then an upres and new graphics on cutsenes, over haul of MP to 60 fps on Gears Ultimate edition got it a 7/10.

This gen no credit is given to Xbox at gamespot. They low ball most everything.

7 for both. Detroit for fancy graphics but bullshit story. SoD2 for some good ideas but bugs and tethering hold back potential.

Of course a HD remake of a decade old game won't get the same high score as the original. Perfect Dark on XBLA is the definitive version of one of the best games of all time, and got a 7.5. Games age, this affects score.

That's BS because Shadow of the Colossus scored 8.7 on here for the PS2, a 9.1 on the PS3 and 9 for the PS4, so that theory is busted.
