[QUOTE="Aidenfury19"]Revised hardware specs (unless they're lower) constitute wishful thinking on the part of some. It's far too late to do much to upgrade the hardware specs however much some might wish for it to be closer to the PS4 performance-wise.
[QUOTE="GravityX"] Could any of these numbers be changed to increase the amount TFLOPS ?GravityX
The only thing they might be able to do is increase the clockspeed and that would result in lower yields (supposedly already pretty darn bad) and worse thermal performance so that is doubtful. The 1.1 TFLOPS spec comes from them reserving 10% of the GPU for non-gaming purposes.
By comparison Sony is supposed to have a dedicated ARM processor in the PS4 to handle OS-related tasks, although it's not clear if it handles everything or just a subset of tasks.
Well that's what happens when Microsoft's engineers purposefully did not target the highest-end graphics.Neither of them did, but the disparity is significant enough that you have to believe Sony caught Microsoft entirely unaware. I mean if nothing else think about just how quiet things were with the PS4 compared to the XBONE, much less the PS3. It was the best kept secret Sony has had in awhile and it showed not only in their respective reveals, but in their respective performance specifications as well.
I can't believe that Microsoft would be so daft as to willingly price their hardware higher with that big a performance delta.
