Thank you!
Now I don't have to deal with those black screens as I was too lazy to install something else :P
Just wait long enough and Steam does it for you 8)
[QUOTE="Wasdie"]doesn't FRAPS take way too much resource? Not for taking screenshots. It's nice they host it for you. Xifre is good too. I still prefer FRAPS.

This is me taking a picture of my dead squadmates in Arma2lawlessxNice to see your contribution to the team.
You have to update the client and restart steam if you haven't done that.Tried doing it for Tomb Raider Underworld and I guess it doesn't work for that game.

So Steam has finally caught up with Xfire?
Big deal, I've been uploading my screenshots there since 2004.
XFire has a serious case of constant DC with me (plus it doesn't support some of my games), so i'm glad steam has the same feature. now they just need a video recorder that isn't as demanding as XFire's, and that doesn't make files as huge.So Steam has finally caught up with Xfire?

Yeah it does a good job. Here are some pics of Bad company 2 on high settings i took with steam.

Watchu talkin about?
Unless I used PNG, my FRAPS screenshots would end up looking washed out. Why WOULDN'T you use PNG?Yeah, not too bad, couple I just took with Steam while playing.
and of course my score for ownage purposes on one of them. :P

You need to register to use png. It's odd that it does that with your bmp files though, mine turn out fine.
I also can't see a difference in quality between bmp vs png vs max quality jpg.

Out of my 51 PC games Xfire supports 49 of them (the 2 that don't work are Alien Vs Predator, a Dx11 game and Blood Omen 2, an old rather irrelevant game) and Steam supports about 10 of them (Counter strike Source, Team Fortress 2, Portal, Half Life 2, Day of Defeat Source, Episode One, Episode Two, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Alien Vs predator and Fear 2) in other words only Steam games + a few. Steam is so bad, its hilarious. Oh well, what can you do... they seem to own the market. Yet too cheap and lazy to support a percentile of the PC library ... :cry:So Steam has finally caught up with Xfire?

I wish XBL would stop concentrating on apps I'll use once and then never again, and give us something that's actually cool like this.

Thats one **** service right there.
Do you even realize how pathetic you made Steam look? You said it yourself, the games you didn't purchase through it don't work on it
Sony: Hey PS3 gamers, if you want in-game PSN, trophies and chat for your games, you have to buy them from the PS store! If you buy games else where, well screw you we don't care !

Well it would help if more games could let you actually take a screenshot. Right now it's pretty much just Halo.I wish XBL would stop concentrating on apps I'll use once and then never again, and give us something that's actually cool like this.

I was using it on a non-steam game yesterday, Bulletstorm. What are some games it didn't work on? If it works on a non-steam game, I would imagine it would work for all Steam games.[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"][QUOTE="Mozelleple112"]
