Yeah... no. Xbox 360 will always be dead in Japan. Even if Star Ocean or Kingdom Hearts comes out for the Xbox360, people will buy it on PlayStation 3 regardless.MrConvoy
i read online that halo 3 helped to boost sales, and that the most bought games this month (in japan), besides halo, were gears of war, dead rising, and ace combat 6
smg didnt even sell as well (i read this of of kotaku)
The platform for the upcoming installments in the Star Ocean series and Kingdom Hearts series have not be finalized. If Microsoft is smart, they'll try everything to grab those titles away from the PS3 with money. And not to mention Lost Odyssey being released soon. The 360 might just start doing well in Japan.r_h_i_e
Something tells me that Star Ocean will be multiplat and Kingdom Hearts will be a PS3 exclusive.

Halo 3 bombed in Japan. I think even Gears of War outperformed it and I'm sure Ace Combat 6 made it to the top 20. I can't even remember Dead Rising's performance. What does it matter anyways? Those games aren't going to save Xbox 360 in Japan, the only game that gave Xbox 360 a chance was Blue Dragon and it flopped hard.

wish that true
With tri-ace already developing Infinite Undiscovery for the 360, there's a fairly good chance Star Ocean 4 may go to the 360 as well. If the game was going to be on the PS3, they would of already announced it by now but no announcement means they are still debating between PS3 and 360. No announcements for KH3 yet means they aren't committed to a platform yet. It could honestly go one way or another.r_h_i_e
Or maybe they just haven't started on KH3?

Or Wii exclusive, it's pretty much a toss up right now. Anywho, Blue Dragom, Eternal Sonata...Neither of them really helped any. Now LO will make a splash but I doubt it is really anything amazing (Sales, not game). I think the best MS can hope for is getting some more multiplats and just exist in Japan.
Therefore a platform hasn't been announced. r_h_i_e
Meaning why would they announce a platform if they haven't even started working on it?
First of all Star Ocean 4 is going to the PS3 it has been confirmed.
Second of all Japanese centric games sell like trash on the XBox. Hell Eternal Sonata barely managed to break 100,000 copies in North America.
Third of all 2 games isn't going to save a console that has been dead to retailers for months. If Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy being exclusive to the Wonderswan didn't stop it from getting killed by the Gameboy Color what makes you think this would stop the DS and Wii?

Yeah but the thing is, those titles are hug in japan, and with the install base of the xbox 360 in japan, u can almost guarantee it will be a ps3 or wii exclusive or they can go multiplatform with those games, its just up to square enix if they are going to be like capcom, then they prolly would use there strategy and not put those games on the xbox 360 since the 360 doesnt sell many games in japan.

OK...now i have to step in. YOUR MAKING THINGS UP!!! everyone here already knows that Halo3 as well as Blue Dragon(and not to mention the HIGH inticipation for Lost Odyssey) boosted sales in japan. NOBODY is saying that it will dominate...but to say that its totally dead....your blowing things out of proportion. More and more peopz in Japan are "Jumping in" every day.....and that ALONE is something. All you haters and cows can LIE all you want...but MICROSOFT IS alive and well in japan....and no amount of fanboy ranting can change that.....EVER :P[QUOTE="MrConvoy"][QUOTE="REforever101"][QUOTE="MrConvoy"]Yeah... no. I find it quite amusing. Look if they don't like Halo 3, or Forza, or Bioshock then forget it. It's a hopeless cause. Blue Dragon was dumbed down to accomodate to a Japanese audience and the only one's suffering for it are the westerners that support MS's attempts at console gaming. Please Log In to post.
