Still one of the prettiest games on the market after 4 years [56k wait outside]

I just took the screenshots from my own game, amazing how far the game's art has improved over the years. They have also managed to make amazing looking in-game cutscenes. You can watch one of them on GameTrailers I believe.

And I used to play wow for PvP: Grand Marshal + t3 bracers, belt, boots, and a lot of enigma along with the dagger off maexis and off-hand from twin emps. Then in BC I became a gladitor, then realized wow this game blows.

I came back to lvl to 80 during my winter break, and got to it only to realize this game really really does blow due to the fact that its catered to casuals and PvP is is still reduced down to rock, paper, scissors. Wipee!

For an example how much I used to play... well the first 3 years wow came out, I clocked in about a year.

The game does look great considering the specs you need to run it and how old it is, I agree it's a gorgeous game.

I have played WoW on my 40" tv at 1920x1080, all setting at max. It looks stunning, sure from a technical point of view its nothing special but it still looks amazing. All youy people who say its not impressive have no clue what you are talking about. For an mmo this is fantastic. Even my PC that plays almost all modern games at max at 1080p is taxed in big cities at peek times on wow.

To say this game is 4 years old is even more impressive.

How the hell can you compare a single player game with an MMO? Really, just think about that for a moment. If wow had visuals like that no PC on the planet, eve nnow would run the game above 1fps in a major city with 100s of other online around you. Not to mention BG with all the spell effects going on. Think please before you post.

hmm, just read back what i wrote, i actually meant my reply in more of a light hearted way lol. Im really not going to get angry over a 4year old game lol.

I think Lord of the Rings: Online, had both technically and artistically usurped WoW when it came out. Age of Conan is arguably the overall best looking one, though I've heard some areas are pretty bland.FrozenLiquid

I played LOtR online for a couple of months. Although my PC at the time couldn't max it and remain playable it sure did look great.
