Guys would you please calm down. I assure you that smashbros will get released before dec 25. There are many reasons behind why it is getting released much earlier here than Japan.
Reasons:
1) Christmas is huge in NA. Much bigger than Japan. Here in NA, selling it before christmas will multiply there profit by at least 5x. Japan, not likely as much of an incline in profit.
2) Wii-fit is much more popular in Japan than it is here in NA. Japanese people love being able to do excersise in a small area with minimal fee and still get average results (ofcourse with dieting). There country isn't as big as usa or canada but has a huge population 120 million, so they simply cannot say okay lets get up and go to the gym. That concept doesn't exsist there as much as it does here. Wii-fit for japan is like halo for usa. Thats why selling it sooner in Japan will increase their sales as it is more anticipated than smashbros.
3) Nintendo for the USA will do it like this. SMG first, SMashbros second, Wiifit/mario kart third. Get the heavy hitters out before christmas and then get the casual and less popular games out after because they know it won't sell as much as the other two. Trust me, they are there to make money. Release dates impact profit greatly especially around the holidays.
4) The maximum delay that would happen would be one week or two. There could be also many reasons behind this as they might give time for the new consumers a chance to "locate" and buy a wii. There is no point releasing a game when most people dont shop for christmas till around dec 15. More benefitical to their profits as most parents people giving gifts would say, "gee, now that was hard locating a wii. Wow what is that smashbros, i have heard alot about it. Heres a great idea lets buy the wii and smashbros and give it as one big present. Hehe im so proud of myself, what a genius i am. 8) "
