So once again a 6 month old baby can beat it again?
I'd like to see that 6 month old fight online instead of a gimped story mode instead.

Why would you want to see that?
Luckily, Capcom wont have to resell people on the idea of buying Street Fighter 5. They'll just sell a Super Street Fighter 5, or a Street Fighter 5 Ultimate or a Super Street Fighter 5 Ultimate

Was a snarky comment.
Finally. The 8 person lobby will be very helpful. I'll also have fun with those challenges.

And just a day before the hotly anticipated KI S3 releases. With the 8 player lobbies, trials/challenges, there isn't much left to complain about. Lobbies are where I would spend most of my time with SF4, it replicates the arcade experience rather nicely(assuming they have spectator mode that is).

lol, you and I are alone in this bro. Game is awesome! I probably won't even be playing too many other games this year.
Lack of a challenge mode and the gimped lobbies were the only things bugging me. And the lack of a system that handles rage quitters, that shit is absurd.
As soon as that stuff gets ironed out the game (imo) is complete. I'm still shocked at how balanced it is right out the gate.
@ConanTheStoner: Lobbies are pretty much all you need. I'll spell it out for the people who don't know why, but lobbies are basically the best thing to happen to the console fighting games, imo. The lobby is basically the direct equivalent of the Arcade experience from the 80's/90's, right from the comfort of your home.
1-Top quality arcade sticks are easy to find these days, and they are usually even better quality than what you had in the arcades back in the day. It's well worth the money if you plan on playing seriously.
2-Spectator mode is basically the equivalent of you standing up in the arcade, watching the next match unfold waiting for your turn(I remember reserving my place by putting a quarter at the bottom of the screen).
3-Voice chat allows talking with all the other lobby players, just like you would be talking to people if you were in the Arcades.
Now you may not get the same adrenaline rush as if you were right there at the Arcades, but the home experience has its perks:
-You just obliterated your opponent, he is a huge 6 foot guy who in the arcades might have tried to intimidate you with a stare down, or worst yet physically....that doesn't happen from home.
-You don't have to deal with faulty arcade sticks.....most of my Arcades always had at least 1 button or 1 direction from the stick that did not work well.
-No need for quarters obviously :)
-Superior audio/visual setup from home, most likely.
I'm sure I'm missing many more, but basically all this combined with a good lobby system and you can spend hours playing like that watching and learning from others, having nice conversations. It's like almost the exact same experience as in the Arcades, but right from home....even better from my perspective. Cool stuff.
@Alucard_Prime:
Hell yeah man, lobbies are great. Even in their gimped state I started playing lobbies more than ranked because one, you don't have to deal with rage quitters and two (most importantly), you actually get to play sets rather than one offs. Being able to play a FT5 against the same character really helps you learn the game, and just have more fun in general because you're spending more time in game and less time waiting for a match to come up.
But yeah, I definitely welcome more players per lobby for the reasons that you said. Eight it is a bit too much down time for me, but three or four is perfect.
But of course we're both coming from an arcade roots mentality. For many gamers, the online stuff doesn't matter. I was surprised to find out that a lot of these guys just want to play arcade mode for years on end. Sounds like bullshit to me, but that's what they say lol. Not trying to excuse the lack of an arcade mode by any means, it's the most basic standard mode that every fighting game should have at release, but I can't imagine having fun with arcade ladders for more than a day.
@ConanTheStoner: Yeah I totally understand the criticism for arcade mode, for the long term though you can play lobbies forever if you're into that.......I mean, it's not ideal I'm not trying to excuse it either but I guess I have an optimistic viewpoint considering my roots and would find it a very comfortable wait until Arcade is added in June. Mostly though, I just wanted to talk about my viewpoint of lobbies, that was me reminiscing lol.
Challenge mode was what I was waiting for before I decide to buy the game. I've been wanting to get back into fighting games since SF5 came out. Learning the game would be a plus because I've always been super casual with fighting games.
I don't care for unfinished games even if they get updates, it's just unacceptable.
I guess it's too difficult to release them when they're actually done considering Capcom's greed.
Also, lol still no arcade mode. What a big joke.
@anthonyautumns:
If capcom does that then they are besically burying SF franchise the main reason the game tanked this bad is cuz of the milkage of SF4. Maybe they will release a complete edition which includes all DLCs and stuff but still compatible with the original one but if they do whatever they did with SF4 then I'm done with them.
This does not mean it's "almost complete".
The Story mode isn't out yet and half of the DLC roster isn't out yet and Alex is even delayed from the actual March update.
Not to mention that Capcom likely has plans to support this game for the next 8 years like they did with Street Fighter IV so you'll likely gonna see much more expansion before Street Fighter V is OFFICIALLY done.

That's why I said it's "almost complete" lol. That's what almost complete means LOL. I'm not talking about the expansions and the super ultra whatever they come out with, I'm talking about the base game that we just bought is almost complete.
@BigShotSmoov007: Nah the Base game that we just bought will be complete when the last DLC character arrives which will be around September or October.
Almost implies that Capcom is almost done. They are clearly not.
Cool, will wait.
I'll buy when it's complete and supports ps3 fightsticks.
So never? Support for PS3 only sticks is not coming, wich is why i got a RAP4 now.
http://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/street-fighter-5-tips-and-guide-how-to-use-ps3-arcade-sticks-on-ps4/
is how you get at least some of the ps3 sticks to work on ps4 and you can always buy the PC version and use what ever you want

It does support PS3 fightsticks... Since launch
It might take a while for it to be "complete". They'll be releasing characters for a few years now. Outside of characters though, It'll be complete next week with the lobby and challenges.
You shouldn't miss out on what pretty much everyone in the FGC is raving about as one of the most brilliant fighting systems ever made. The game is truly loved and for good reason.

Almost means it's almost complete, I know what I meant LOL. The base game was an incomplete game, no story mode or challenge mode or arcade mode. No real lobby system and you can rematch after loses made it an incomplete game. Hopefully they'll add an arcade mode but all those other features that was suppose to be in the base game is coming so like I said, the game is almost complete.
@Pikminmaniac:
I'm a street fighter junkie. This o e looks better than4. So it's got a roster, arcade mode, etc?

If you want the full roster, that'll take several years of waiting. You want arcade mode? That's got to be the most useless mode a fighting game can have. Fighting AI defeats the purpose of this genre IMHO.
@Pikminmaniac:
I'm not even up to date on the state of the game. I'd like a roster with some dynamics. Personally think obscenely large rosters don't help matters. Arcade mode is great fun. Easier to pick up timings--better than practice mode imo.
So local co-op is there? What exactly are the complaints?
