Sup with all the hate on hermits ??

Ok I am new here but in this short time I have seen so much hate on hermits here. Hermits IMO are usually the smartest and most helpful peps on the boards. You want to know about pc parts from monitors to keyboards to wifi networks ect a hermit will help you for free. Don't know what parts to buy or how to overclock again hermits come to your aid. Got spyware or a virus need help well hermits got your back. Need info on new games from patches to mods to settings to frame rates hermits got you.

I don't know of any other group of gamers who got your back like hermits. Yet here hermits seems to be getting bashed here for no reason. Don't get mad at hermits get mad at your console. We can't make old hardware on console suddenly better so get over it pc gaming is the best.

I am a pc gaming fan as well as a ps3/psp gamer. However I have no doubt that pc gaming is the best out of all the gaming platforms bar none. Calling the best the best should not make you a fanboy.

Probably because they spend more time talking about "consolites" than "consoles."

I think the problem comes from this perceived "Elitist" attitude hermits get. Then it usually revolves around hermits focusing only on graphics but it usually is a response thread or post to the PS3 and 360 fanboys who create numerous threads comparing minute differences between console ports. Even gamespot puts on these graphical comparisons. So PC owners discuss the topic at hand showing that the PC has much better graphics and then it begins a snowball to:

1. "Ya but you pay 3K to game on for a little extra resolution no one cares about." Then this goes into

"PC gaming doesn't cost this much, here check out this setup for 800 dollars."

2. "Ya but it's too complicated."

"Well not really, consoles these days have patches, games crash, systems update randomly etc."

3. "Well still PC gaming sucks and it's not about the graphics anyways. I can't tell the difference between a few extra pixels."

"Well then why did you post about the 360 version running at 640p Vs 540 with no AA comparing a port?"

4. "Well STFU and get out hermit."

Everyone knows that controllers rule that land. The slow response rate of analogs makes a moment more tense.

Bescuase the console people are seeing pc's doing all these amazing things. BF3, skyrim, the list go on. So in normal system wars fashion they just attack.

I did not create the names here they were here long before I got here. As for the topic creation I have no idea how that works but I don't see why that should be a problem.

Jealousy is basically all it comes down to. Most people here would actually love ot have a gaming PC, they just don't want to spend the money or spend time researching components

Gamepads are great for fighting games but other than that nothing else comes to mind. Gamepads are supported by many pc games but after getting online most ie almost all switch to kbam bacause pads cant match a mouse.

This. I use a gaming PC, 360, PS3 and Vita currently. The majority of my time is gaming the same few games on the PC for years becaues of all the mods, online community and the general enjoyment I get from customizing games to maximize performance. An example I use often is L4D2 which I played tonight. It is a game on both PC and 360 but the replayability is so much higher on PC for numerous reasons. It doesn't mean I don't use my 360 (Fight night champion, Undisputed 3, Halo Reach) or my PS3 (God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo); it's just the most enjoyment overall and the best overall experience is on the PC.

Again, when it comes down to the perceived elitist sophist attitudes, I referenced my belief on that at the top of page two of this thread. It's usually a response to something that then gets thrown back into the face of the poster and snowballs down. 90% of the time it is graphics based and 90% of the time the console user resorts back to "graphics aren't just about counting pixels" yet they just posted a thread about how game X runs at 640p on Console A and only 560p on console B declaring ownage. It's great for lols though.

Did you read his reply. He said I lack "reading comprehension" said I am an "idiot" and that I am "butthurt." Yet I just clarified why my reading comprehension was very accurate. Care to refute how my reply is not valid?

@ DAVE_MDF I have seen the same trend here console gamers make a untrue statement and the pc gamer aka hermit proves it false. It then goes to another topic that has nothing to do with the topic. When that also gets proved false they fall back to consoles are cheaper stfu or something along those lines. I understand that is system wars but the level of misinformation here blows my mind. I can only assume that most of the console gamers here are kids hence the tude when they get proved wrong on obvious subjects.

Sorry to have to do this, as your post seems in earnest. But we do have a rule (as seen in the board header) that users must be at least level 10 to create new topics.
