Looks like a boring level to be honest. I wish they'd go back to themed worlds like they were in Super Mario Sunshine and Banjo Kazooie/Tooie.

Mario is regarded as one of, if not, the biggest mascot of gaming.
Of course it'd be considered a platform seller.

Looks a blurry mess to me.It's fake. The original images showed heavy use of falloff shaders whereas this shows close to none. also the coins seem odd, as if they were 2D sprites that always face teh camera.

From this image though, looks like the coin is just copy and pasted, doesn't even line up properly to the wood? Also the same size despite being farther away.

Not really. Every iteration has felt different than the last for the most part.
SM64 feels different from Sunshine, Sunshine felt completely different from the Galaxy games and the NSMB series felt different as well.
