Wow, people are over rating this game so much. i mean I can't talk about the gameplay or anything, but the graphics in that game are NOT better than Crysis. They're very creative and unique... but not Crysis.7arek

I wish people would stop comparing this to Crysis.

Crysis has way better realistic graphics, but Mario is cartoony and it really has a great art style.

yeah a number of people have already bought super mario galaxy. if only i had money i would call all the best buys around me...

It won't look good at all on my 60 inch HDTV :(

But for a game like Mario I can take it, there always so fun.

Ok I see what you're saying, then compare it to Call of Duty 4, resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy 13, Ratchet and Clank FTOD, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Gears of War, etc... I just used Crysis because it's always been used to compare "next gen" Graphics, Physics, w/e. The point is, just because Gamespot gave it an excellent score doesn't mean it's the greatest looking game this gen, and it seems like too many people are saying that.

I wasnt sure about that until I bought the game and it is comparable to Crysis.Big_Black_Eyes

The game has been for seven days already!

Crysis and Mario Galaxy are completely incomparable, wtf. One is going for technical brilliance in realistic settings (well, before everything gets frozen and you hop on an alien ship), and the other is going for artistic brilliance with limited hardware.

By the way, for anyone who thinks that Crysis is all technical/no art, the frozen island and especially the interior of the alien ship are absolutely gorgeous on an artistic level.

from an artisitc standpoint the game does look very good.

As for crysis.. i will argue that it doesnt have as much shine and polish and stand out as much, but it does look great.. plus, nobody can play crysis because the game sucks up any hardware and still runs like garbage, so crysis is a waste until another year.

Yet, there are better looking games than mario galaxy technically.. mainly on 360.

Your 8800GTX will run Crysis at high/very high pretty freakin well and it'll look better than anything else. Trust me.
