super mario galaxy .... it sure looks like a fun game ...

but it looks too easy, like a lot of 3d mario platformers, they are simply way too easy and it just removes all replay value

So you're saying you got ALL the stars and coins in 64, and everything in Sunshine? Thought not.

There have also only been two 3D Marios. So saying 'like a lot of 3d Mario platformers', makes little sense.

getting all the shines in sms is quite difficult and if you call yourself any kind of hardcore gamer you would know that that's where the real challenge lies.

I had a friend in high school who said the same thing about sm64 but he just scooped up the easiest stars and the minimum amount, which is only half of them I think (was it 60 or 70 out of 120)

Mario 64 was perhaps not that hard (although the latter levels were quite difficult) but Mario Sunshine was really quite a tough game. Especially as you had to get pretty much all of the shine sprites on each level in order to complete the game. I expect Galaxy to be slightly easier than Sunshine but still a good challenge.

That's what the previews are saying.

Yeah. Especially considering that you only have three life points *unless you pick up a red mushroom* but even then once you get back to the hub world is goes back down to three.

They've always been hard. collecting every star in 64 and sunshine wasn't easy, especially if you wanted to complete them 100%

But in this one its not hard like that, well it may be, but there actually talking about just going through the game is hard.

There were 120!! Dang I quit after 118. I need to plug my N64 back in now. In any case I heard that Galaxy was frustrating in the demo but still a blast to play.

Well, I hope so. from what I've seen, it does look harder than the rest.
