i think that game is overrated. it's just more of the same as the original. super metroid is garbage........and because i know that no one can tell, i am being sarcastic

I've never heard Super Mario Bros. 3 or Baldur's Gate 1/2 criticized either. For good reason, I expect.

Its criticized everytime someone says the games on XBLA kill everything on the Wii VC including Zelda OOT and Super MEtroid.

i think the reason is obvious. its the most perfect side scroller ever created.

i can only hope a new 2D metroid is made for the DS a la NSMB

There is little way it could have been improved back in the day and has aged extraordinarily well. There isn't any criticism for it because criticising such a good game would get you shot down fast.

also, there fully customisable, i dunno about other's, but when i review it, thats an auto 10 in controls

It's such a good game that the GBA games just didn't seem up to par. It harmed my potential enjoyment of Metroid: Zero Mission!

Possibly because it's one of the greatest games ever and by far and wide the best in the Metroid series as well as the last true innovation in 2D gaming?

EDIT - The latter isn't true, Yoshi's Island was.
