IDK. Brawl you can open characters by playing matches. Button Massinmg will get you killed. Look at Snake he is tactical in the game. Every opponet is diffrent.

The only people who think that Smash is a button smasher either:

A) Hasn't played it.

or

B) Is horrendously bad at it.

There are so many balances and counterbalances in the game that it's not even funny. :|

Button mashing in Brawl will get you killed in no time. The level, items, and character moves make it a complex yet fun fighter. So much more you have to take into consideration than in traditional fighters. Furthermore, Brawl hasn't gotten old for me, especially since I have friends to play it with.

I remember the last time my friends and I were playing Cod4, for example. We got bored after a while and went to play Brawl, lol. Good stuff. The fact that we were playing CoD4 on a 52 inch HDTV didn't help persuade us to stay with it.

Oh, and while you're here, you never answered my question in this thread. I am still confused about what you meant.

No, the only real knock I can give against the game is the lack of voice support, but like I said, it's not fantastic.

Nostalgia is making you say that. Brawl is 9.5 and is the best.

Friend codes are a one-shot-deal. And personally, once I switched to a wired connection, I haven't had a bit of lag in any of my games. And of course we have extras like game/level sharing and non-combat challenges.

No, the only real knock I can give against the game is the lack of voice support, but like I said, it's not fantastic.

I think it depends on what your expectations of online play are. I suppose you can grant nintendo some leeway considering how new they are to online play. On the other hand, online muliplayer is not new. It's been done since the early 90s and you could easily find games nearly a decade old with similar (or better) online features than you find on the wii.
