Yikes...
I kind of hope that it's not true... don't you think that it would limit the gameplay?

You control the movement of Nes' projectiles on the gamecube, so no that doesn't mean anything.cakeorrdeath
Don't forget Link's boomerang.
Last I heard (when Solid Snake was revealed) they said we probably shouldn't throw our Cube controllers away. I'd expect Cube and Classic controller options.MaxxxReebo
Sorry, just noticed this...
That's awesome, did you make it?! :D

Super Smash Bros. is a much fast paced game though... I don't know. :P

It looks like a sticker the official Nintendo magazine gave away one month you put on your remote, it was crap and didnt fit right so I threw mine in the bin. A decent one would be nice though.
This is what it says:
Many of us remember Nintendo saying that gamers would most likely use the GameCube controller to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl? In the latest news update at smashrbos.com, we found something interesting that might contradict Nintendo's words from before.
"The arrows Pit's bow unleashes shoot out like beams of light. Players can control the curves of their trajectories."
Does it not seem like maybe we will be controlling those trajectories with a Wii Remote? Just something to think about I guess...website
That is just speculation, it doesn't mean you will control it with the wiimote. But I still think there will be many control options for SSBB, not just the wiimote if it is used.
i hope they pull it off. The more the merrier i say. When you have 3 different types of controls everyone should be happy to experiment with each to see which they can take more advantage of.
3 different interfaces. Thats freaking crazy.
First of all, what a stupid rumor. I bet it's going to be exactly like Zelda's Din's Fire attack, where you control the arrow with the analog stick.
Second of all, only a sheep would want to play SSBB without the Wiimote and Nunchuck. You use the controller the system came with. Maybe Nintendo should have thought about controlling Smash Bros before they decided on the controller.
Plus, noone here has even played SSBB, with ANY controller. I hope that Nintendo only make the Wiimote + Nunchuck scheme the only option.
i'm pretty sure they emphatically said that it will use the classic controller/cube controller for the game, since you needed precise control for the game.Makari
Yeah, just think about that though. Nintendo would be expecting people to drop like $80 to play the game if they didn't have a GC or Classic Controller.

the bad side:
i have to buy atleast two GC controllers for me and my gf(and then i'll also be buying a gc memory unit, so i can play GC games), my friend does have a gc w/ 3 extras so if they come over thats cool
so 50 + 2 controllers + 1 memory unit
the good side:
i'll have 2 gc controllers for VC stuff, gc games
GOOD!!!
The worst thing Nintendo can do as a publisher/developer is to say to third parties that "traditional controls work better for this type of game."
MK pulled it off, Why can't Smash Bros? And for that matter they can use the same approach MK did, make it backwords compatible with GC and Classic controller.

Mortal Kombat: Armegeddon let you use any combination of the three. They'll probably do the same thing with SSBB.
