Super Smash Bros Brawl VS Halo 3!

Both will be released in september but which will have the better sales?

Taking a look back... Super Smash Bros Melee sold 6 million while Halo: CE sold 5 million. 

Thoughts? 

who knows.. wouldnt really matter to me, since both sheeps and lemmings are going to have a long term time waster on there consoles.

I would say Brawl in the long run. Especially with online.

damn Corvin bro :) I don't like Smash Bros. either but damn lol ...I see Halo3's first night sales being rather large but I am sure people will be camping for Smash Bros too

its hard to say, I was going to say Halo has a wider mainstream appeal but now that I think about it people under 13 (or the maturity level under 18, I am sick of little voices spamming my ear drums) should not be playing it so it kind limits it to the 18-35 year olds...I really am unsure what will sell better

that depends on if halo 3 is as much of a disapointment to it's fans/casuals as halo 2 was..

but imo, SSB:B will own it in sales and gameplay/replay value since it's fun for anyone to pick up and play where as halo caters to a specific crowd

honestly if Xbox1 sold 20million units why did Halo not sell atleast 15million who the hell would even want an Xbox if it wasn't for Halo...if you were too young or don't like shooters then maybe you would pass on Halo but then why not just get another system dunno

yeah I played the hell out of Rainbow 6 and Black Arrow and I own all the Splinter Cell gets (except DA that game blows) but it seems strange that if you like thoses games you wouldn't atleast pick Halo up as well

I can't understand SSB winning this, while a cult classic on previous N sytems, thats why it sold well. The last 2 N systems had few great games. Halo has sold 6.8 and 8 million in 2 games. Expect higher than 8 million this time.braydee1234

 Ok um no. First off how can you even suggest the fact that the N64 hand no good games! games like Perfect Dark, Golden Eye, Zelda OT, Zelda MM, SSB, and son this is just the tip of the list. And as for the GCN. It did have some great games too. But eveyone thinks it didn't because "The games LOOK childish." Well guess what people graphics are not eveything. And for my last statment. I like how you say SSB is a "cult classic" wouldn't Halo also be a "cult classic?" And if you think not then please explain why not.

I love both series, and have probably put more time in playing Melee than both of the Halo games combined.

 I recognize the success of the Wii, but if we are just talking about sales of SSBB vs. sales of H3, I think that Halo 3 will sell more.  Do most casuals out there buying Wii's right now even know what SSB is or that it even exists? 

SSBB is only catering to the hardcore N fans so it won't sell that much.  If it doesn't use the gimmickery controls, then it's not going to appeal to non-gamers at all.NobuoMusicMaker
