Oh and some other Cafe rumors:
ESRB Leak!? E3 Games reel for Nintendo's.... "Current"?
http://www.destructoid.com/let-s-talk-about-the-games-that-may-come-to-project-cafe-201762.phtml
Quote
One of the more popular Project Cafe rumors going around right now comes from someone who claims to work for the ESRB, an agency which is tasked to rate the appropriateness of everything vidoegame related, even the trailers. This ESRB employee claims to have seen the video that Nintendo will be showing at E3 to promote Project Cafe --or, as they call it, "Current" -- and the list of games they've named from the video is pretty astounding.
This list includes: a new mini-game collection, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. 4, Endless Ocean, Pikmin, Kirby, a new Zelda collection, Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario., Dead Rising 2, Street Fighter 4, Resident Evil 5 "or something that looked like it," Silent Hill Downpour, a new Suda51 game that is "not No More Heroes" but is about "something hunting demons," "some mech game," Trauma Center: Current Crisis, Soul Calibur, Tekken, GTA V, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, "some Metal Gear Solid game where you play as a girl," "some cyber punk game" that looks like Snatcher, Gradius, Contra, Castlevania, and "Fallout 3 or 4."
So yeah, that's a pretty insane list. It's hard to believe that any of it's real, but seeing as the 3DS had a new Kid Icarus, Metal Gear, Assassin's Creed, two Resident Evil games, Contra, Castlevania, Street Fighter, Zelda, Persona, and many other games announced in conjunction with the console's initial reveal at E3 2010, I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to somehow get that many third parties to back them out of the gate with their next home console. It especially makes sense to see so many titles from Konami, Namco, and Capcom, who were strong early supporters of the Wii as well.
Mini editorial time -- third parties largely avoided putting their AAA titles on the Wii, and as such, they lost out on potential revenue from the Wii's 70+ million unit user base. We've heard third parties say time and time again that when they Wii took off in popularity, that they were "caught with their pants down."I'm guessing that with Project Cafe, those same third parties will be sure not to make the same mistake twice.
Does this mean they'll make another Mother? The rumor was the next SSB being developed by another company.
I'll assume both are fake.

I'd rather ssb be on the 3ds before cafe. SAGE_OF_FIRESounds terrible. Smash is meant to be played in the company of others; it's a party fighter. I know, well done online play would be nice, but I would still play Smash with my friends even this is a real Smash.
I'd be completely pumped for a new SSB game, especially with a new director.
Think: SSB with real leaderboards and hundreds of clas sic Nintendo playable characters... a man could only dream.
peterw007
hundreds? that would create a mess of an unbalanced game
I'm not going to say that it's real but...have any definitive proof of it being fake? It's fake.

If it had Download Play like Mario Kart DS, then I could see it working nicely.

Doesn't cafe use screens on the controllers instead of the tv, wouldn't it be the same as playing on a handheld?

Nice mock-up, but nah.Cherokee_JackYou know, every time I post some Cafe leak you come in and say it's fake...at least humor me! xD
SSB launch title would be awesome with leaderboards, voice chat, and in HD. Only thing I could ask for is a better campaign!
The terrible title of the game makes me think that it has to be fake.
Come on, strife? Nintendo can do better than that.

We will see at E3. Button mashing on a handheld is never cool, if some button messes up you can't just replace the controller. Don't like fighters on handhelds.

But I would rather play it the 'old fashioned' way with four players using the same screen, much more fun IMO.

Well the year of the copyright at the bottom is 2011 and I can guarantee you that this game isn't coming out this year, it's probably not even nearly done being developed. There's no link either to this rumur, it's just some image that some guy photoshoped for kicks like those Smash Bros images where there's a bunch of random characters from random franchises. There's no reason to believe that this isn't fake.
It's also probably worth mentioning that the words "Super Smash Bros." on the image are the exact same format and style as on the Super Smash Brothers Brawl boxart, just bigger with effects. I also think the little thing behind those words is an effect from the stage Final Destination from Brawl.
[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]Nice mock-up, but nah.22ToothpicksYou know, every time I post some Cafe leak you come in and say it's fake...at least humor me! xD
To be fair, it does look good and I wouldn't be shocked if it was real (not a stretch to think SSB will be a launch title anyway). But I'm in an all-rumors-are-false mode.
Just makes it more exciting if any of them turn out to be true!

The new character selection for Brawl was a bit disappointing to say the least.
If there's a new Brawl, I'd like at least 30 new additions to the character roster...bringing the total up to around 65.
Brawl has never been considered a serious tournament game...as long as things are relatively balanced, I don't see why Nintendo can't jam-pack the game full of content.

That's a good point about he copyright date. I guess, like all the other rumors, we'll have to wait until E3.Seems everyone is ignoring my other post at the top of the page...look at that rumored list..!!! I know it's probably crap but my god would that be amazing. :D22Toothpicks
lol I am not getting my hopes up for too much, although I personally would be shocked if a mario game and a metroid game were not announced/shown off first (for big titles). Mario is a staple, and Metroid has been given the most down time, and would be a great showcase for the power of the Cafe.

Still I wouldn't.
Where is the Japanese title? I see the English title.thom_mayteesBrawl had a japanese title in Tokyo?

EDIT: Ignore me, I'm being lame. You did have a link. I want to know where to Destructoid got it, you're at no fault.
Does this meant hat the new 3rd part character will be Cloud Strife? :O22Toothpicks
lol nice, speaking of JRPG's....I want a new Baten Kaitos! :P
Does this meant hat the new 3rd part character will be Cloud Strife? :O22ToothpicksNo, they wouldn't base the games title off him.

Nintendo has worked with Square before.
Yes the AMAZING Mario Sports mix :P[QUOTE="Rage010101"]

65 doesnt sound as bad as hundreds but even then thats kind of too many in my opinion. over saturating a figher with too many playable charactes can create balance issues and can potentially break a game mechanically. it can also potentially harm the fun factor. brawl isnt a serious tourney game per se, but removing any balance that the series may have will remove what makes it enjoyable.
in my opinoin i think they should add maybe 16 more players at max, but add and focus more on a ton of new items, weapons, poke balls, new maps, new game modes, etc.

Dairanto Sumasshu Burazazu Ekksu. Far superior if you ask me, buraza.

As awesome as a new Smash Bros would be, I still feel like I'm not done with Brawl. Hell I played Melee for like 8 years, Brawl for only 3. I don't think we need a new one, unless for the 3DS.bobcheeseball
Be gone! lol yes we need a new one! Brawl, while great, could have been much more revolutionary, especially in the sense of online. I look forward to them really evolving the series. I hope they announce a new one and put some interesting twists in there.
