Today marks the day that all three of the Super Star Wars Trilogy is available for Virtual Console! Some of the hardest games you may ever play.
You are not worthy of the challenge.

Virtual Console FTW!!! It's the most under-rated awesome aspect about the Wii. Instead of paying $50 or $60 dollars on a new retail game you can spend $8 dollars on a game that will give you just as many hours of entertainment and you feel like a more educated gamer afterwards too. Because of Virtual Console when someone talks about Ninja Gaiden, Phantasy Star IV, Ocarina of Time, Super Metroid, Contra, or Double Dragon I can totally relate because I played all those games for the first time on Virtual Console.
I found The Empire strikes Back to be the better game and the hardest of all come on, the final battle with Vader was such a pain in the ********** grrrrrr*Drops jaw in awe*
Those are some of my favortie Star Wars games and each game did get harder than the last, adn I beat them all. Finally, I can use the VC again.

I have absolutely no idea how I beat the first two Star Wars games (Didn't play Return of the Jedi) and not a single 2D Mario game. >.>

I always thought of A New Hope as the harder one of those I played because you don't get to use a lightsaber (Or Force Heal for that matter among other Force powers, though you only got those about halfway through).

You have to be spot on to avoid touch the walls or you'll die quickly.*Drops jaw in awe*

You basically have to keep jumping and shooting.:P But the later levels were very difficult, I find the other games just harder all around. These games are horrible... I remember being soo excited about them a long time ago when i finally got to play it... ugh. Bad controls, gameplay, everything about super star wars just wasnt good... * puts up flame shield

I never was much of a multi-tasker. :P With the lightsaber, you could jump and slice in one action! :o
Somewhat back on-topic: The levels after Mos Eisley station were pretty easy considering you could use Han or Chewie who both had longer health bars and started out with an upgraded blaster.

Flame shields won't help you!
The controls were fine, platforming didn't involve any leaps of faith, nothing random to screw you over at the last moment of a jump unlike the average game The Nerd plays, pacing was decent with the inclusion of vehicle segments, lots of bosses to keep you company, and at the very least, the music was great.
There's only one level I think that could've possibly given you that opinion...
The Sandcrawler's exterior. The only bad level I can recall. One mistake could send you all the way back to the beginning of the level. No, not even checkpoints could help you on that one.

Yeah, using them isn't that bad, but some levels were pretty annoying, like with all those Tie Fighters coming infinitely.
Now that the complete "Super Star Wars" series is on Virtual Console. I think we can now wait for Star Wars N64 games. Anyone remember Battle for Naboo, Rogue Squadron, Shadows of the Empire, and Episode I Racer?nintendoboy16I played and owned them all, IMO:
Rogue Squadron>Episode 1 Racer>Battle for Naboo>Shadows of the Empire.

Yeah, Rogue Squadron was easily the best one. I still own the cartridges to Shadows, Rogue, and Racer. I never owned Battle for Naboo, but I brought all those up to make it fair. To me, the N64 gen of Star Wars games were the best gen for Star Wars games.[QUOTE="mitu123"]I played and owned them all, IMO:[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"]Now that the complete "Super Star Wars" series is on Virtual Console. Hell yeah, but last gen was no slouch either with Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Battlefront 1 and 2, Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, Star Wars: Rogue Leader. Rebel Strike and Jedi Academy are decent, the rest are kind of meh. Please Log In to post.
