yeah i know im starting my thrid playthrough lol. I just hate the default "Film Grain" graphics option thats turned on in mass effect....its stupid and should be removed from the game IMo, i thought my VGA cable was going bad at first.
[QUOTE="Fumpa"]that looks pretty sad.
are you trying to pull our leg here and post crap shots from your computer version of the game?
you need to get a better computer.

Sadly, those are from IGN.
holy crap, you're right. sorry for doubting.
that is so bad looking.
Its a port of a PC game that takes a beast of a machine to run. i dont know how anyone thought it would work well on a console.gromit007Someone from EA must've thought it would work lmao.
wow you compare a RTS to Mass effect?
funny how the best textures in ME are the faces, which is true because it seemed like bioware used all 360s power on the faces, everything else the armor, weapons and wall textures are muddy/blurry. dont forget the textures take 5-10 seconds to load everytime u go into a new room. and the frame rate drops
ROFL , its the "o so not awesome" circle of doom err I mean Circle of Menu thing again.

I wonder how dumbed down it must be. Seriously. SupCom was hard enough micro-managing with a keyboard and mouse on PC. In fact, it's one of the tougher and more complex RTSs out there. I still can't believe, from a pure logic standpoint, that it's being ported to the 360. The fact that it also looks like ass on it just makes it worse.

It will be a disaster. Its shocking its gone backwards so much - with this 360 port, after the stellar Forged Alliance....
These guys should REALLY use the help of a REAL 360 programmer, than using XNA to port the game !!!!!!
It is one of the worst looking 360 titles i have seen, it is like a 10 year old trying to make its first engine on 360 actually
saolin323
if they are keeping the main structure of gameplay, I can only see it getting worse, because there is literally 1000+ units on the screen.

Exatly. They are probably doing the best they can, but the console has a pitiful 512mb shared memory, not the usual 1gb of system, and 256mb of video on a PC...
God knows if they can keep the unit cap of the PC version.

It looks like a very early unoptimized demo of the game.

On the other hand the game runs like a dream on my rig with 3GB of system memory and 512GB of video memory.[QUOTE="t3hTwinky"][QUOTE="Fumpa"]that looks pretty sad.

We'l see, my Quad core goes to 90% near full load with the maximum player count after about 10-15 mins of a game, I hate to think what a budget Power PC Tri-Core in the 360 will manage, and im talking after the patchs.
ROFL, it looks like ass.WhySoCry
That's what happens when you port a game and don't rebuild it from the ground up.
Bad programming. I don't think the XBox 360 has 2GB of RAM on it, so why would you port a PC game to the console that doesn't have the requirement specs to run it on? Just dumb. They need to take 8-10months and redo the whole game. LOTR:BFME looked better.

'rebuiling' a game? WTFThat is not going to compensate for the 360s pitful ram, that has a min 512mb ram, and recommended 1gb system ram, not to mention 128 video needed, 256 recommended...
Besides the game does not NEED rebuilding to work with the 360s architecture, its just a matter of the game being TOO SYSTEM INTENSIVE. That is the reality of it.
This game is is nothing like BFME2 - which was one of the LEAST complex RTS, not to mention it ran like crap on 360, as did C&C3.
The machine is not made for RTS.

Are you comparing the most Casual RTS in existance to Supreme Commander? C&C was on the PS1 for gods sake, this is completely different.
