Do Digital Download Games count as DLC? Titles like the PixelJunk series, or Flower on PSN? If so then, yes. Otherwise, I never bought games that "extend" the gameplay of retail games (map packs, extra modes of play, additional chapters, etc.). Can someone define what is considered DLC?BrainhunterDownloadable Contents game contents that are downloadable. sounds like it only applies to extention of games
I only buy DLC if I believe that it was honestly made in addition to a game and not intentionally omitted to begin with. For example, I did not buy Yoda in the PS3 version of Soul Calibur IV or Protoman in Mega Man IX because they were intentionally left out to sell seperately. I bought the Edy and Selvaria expansions for Valkyria Chronicles because they actually were new content that was made to extend the Valkyria Chronicles experience.
15% is actually pretty good. I will never purchace DLC. Unless they come up with a way for me to keep it 100% free of accidents. Like hdd failure, sdcard failure, solid state drive failure..ect ect..Lets say you get things from STEAM. What would happen if they went belly up? I really have no idea so serious question. I for now just dont trust it..

Valve said if Steam went under people would still get the games they'd paid for, don't ask me how, this was years ago anyway, and the chances of Steam going under are pretty slim now.
Wow, same here. I haven't really been heavy on downloadable games (i.e. Arcade or PSN) either. I enjoyed Braid and loved Flower, but when I want to spend $10-15 on a game, it's always more worthwhile to get a used game that got great reviews when it came out a few years earlier. For instance, on my to-do list still are: Battlefield: Bad Company, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Lost Planet and Kameo: Elements of Power. Can get those all for $10-15 easily.I only purchased 1 dlc pack this gen that was the gears 1 DLC.

I bought a map pack for LBP to create a level, then soon after regretted it when i found out that out of the million+ levels on littlebigplanet nobody will ever find yours and you'll get 32 plays over the course of 8 months.
I got game of the year edition of Fallout 3, which includes DLC. And the digital deluxe version of Dragon Age which includes DLC.
Sooo i guess in a way i have.
I only get DLC if it's free. I never bought any and probably never will. For one is the price, if its $2-4 maybe... But heck everything seems to be $10 or more. Or on the PC... It has some kind of DRM or DRM with install limit... ***Looks at Borderlands***
Your better off waiting a year on a game and getting GOTY eddtion.
not too suprised by that, only DLC ive bought this gen was Logs Lost Challenges, the 4th Zombie add on for Cod 5, and Dr Neds Zombie Island for Borderlands.
[QUOTE="Vyylent5"]how much was that towards one game god, yeah.. for RB2 i own probably ~400-450 songs right now. i bought the borderlands DLC for PC, pretty much all the bonus car/track packs for forza 2/3. i don't really count the stuff i got as 'included,' like the Mass Effect DLC that was free for PC or the DA stuff that came with new purchases of the game. bought a lot of the dlc for saint's row 2, mercenaries 2, burnout paradise, and i pretty much fully plan on getting the AC2 and Dragon Age stuff whenever it's released. that's just off the top of my head, there's probably a lot more. OH, and trials HD's big pack! that was one of the best DLC purchases ever, anybody that liked the original should go for this too.I can't even remember how much dlc I've bought. Probably more than $100 worth, though.
