Survival Horror games are similar to Action RPGs but a little more simplified.

Discuss.

I don't really see it, but I think it would be awesome if they went back to making Survival Horror games with RPG elements like Parasite Eve.

You could apply that to a lot of genres. Like TPSs.

In third person
Usually have objectives that need to be completed
Usually find items like guns and ammo
Usually kill monsters
The three usually have big bosses

Sorry, but I don't see it. Especially because they're so loosely-based and with no support to back it up.

Yeah, they're both basically third person shooters with some fluff added these days.

Survival horror games don't really have your characters going through stages that make them stronger. You might get new weapons or moves as the games progress, but you never grow into something stronger till the end.

Action RPGs allows you more freedom while survival horror game usually are much linear and takes place in confine places......you know to increase tension. To be honest, I'm not seeing the similarities.:|
