SW- A Community Meeting

Move over PTA, there's a new party in town! Now as some of us know, there has been some pretty heavy eDrama going on in SW to the point where we're going to need a Dear Sister spoof (mmmm wat'cha sayyyyyyyyy) soon if we don't get this whole she-bang under control. Not to mention the obvious turmoil in the game-journalism industry with Jeffgate and EGM's recent issues.

The fate of SW? Only time will tell!

Obviously SW (and the gaming industry in general is on pretty rocky groun. So here's the deal, post your thoughts about SW. What do you like and dislike? What improvements could be made? Why is that PBSnipes guy so cool? Is it his sig? His after-shave? His rebel-without-a-cause attitude? You guys are the community, you should have a say in the goings on. Democracy at its finest!

I wish sheep weren't hated so much... lots of personal insults flying around. But I guess all groups get hated on.

Sorry PBSnipes... I tried to do this but was refused to do so. Was said it was OT, posted there and was pretty much insulted by a mod in a mocking fashion about me which I didn't appreciate.

Please let's be serious about this if we're allowed to do this. Jokes are fine but not this early on, let's get it rolling and just bring your ideas and suggestions.

We need less rules. We need to at leasttake a stepin the other direction. We need to bring SW out of the little box, to allow more OT, and more things like this.

We can start by this thread not being locked.

And...System Wars Bets and Official Hype threads killed this board. It inspired dislike, disdain, and a lack of respect for other systems and their games. The big releases came out toward the end of the year and all we heard was...Awwww did you lose a bet; awwwwww too bad all your games flopped....awwwww complete your bet and leave or hit the wall of shame; pfffffffft GS must be biased for giving a score that high/low.

Lets just mock each other until we cant stand to read what anyone says.

and when we say more OT we don't mean entire threads about apples or zebras. We mean people out of nowhere allowed to provide comic relief in a serious debate which always is needed in life IMO. Or a little joke here and there. I got modded for bringing up mangos as a mango break in my own thread. I mean things like that aren't needed to be modded for. It just makes this place more strict almost just for the sake of being more strict

If SystemWars Bets truly encouraged dislike and disdain, no one would follow through with their bets. What would be the point?

Listen I know you hate on cause you bashed us in our own thread but for arguments sake...

We don't force anything on people first of all. Secondly SW Bets doesn't enforce the hype system. We go by ANY review source first of all, as well we aren't about reviews only. We have bets on release dates, sales, characters added, gaming sig contest, games becoming multiplat.

If there was no hype system I would have still made the thread so please guys don't act like it conforms people to hate games or etc.... People are grown up enough to do that on their own. It is their choice. And while I do like the flop system and go by it and also don't go by it. I have a laugh with it if I get owned or not for my prediction or even bet But beyond that I dont care. MGS is one of the best games of all time IMO... but it scored what here again?
