Lol, yeah you're probably right. But.... this was a discussion about HDR displays, so I'll give myself a pass on that technicality.

I think there's something to be said for the Playstation and XBOX having their own UI and service, and games that work across all Playstation and XBOX hardware. On PC it can be a nightmare trying to get each game to work correctly.

I will never be a PC gamer. I don't envy these people blowing thousands of dollars on a gaming PC and trying to keep it up to date for newer games. I don't like playing most games with a keyboard and mouse. (WoW is the rare exception to that.) So as far as I'm concerned console and controller and games I can just pick up and play will always be superior.

Games aren't a "nightmare" to get working correct, the fact you even say that describes textbook user error. You don't need to have the latest and greatest hardware to play new games or even have to constantly upgrade parts. I could keep my same build for the remainder of the gen and it will always perform better than either console. If you don't like keyboard and mouse use a controller, the only games that don't get controller support on PC are ones that aren't on console anyway.

i prefer console but i've had no issues playing my games on PC.. maybe i'm doing it wrong..

The best value in a combo would probably be a PS5 and a Switch, but really a PC can do it all.

@girlusocrazy: you're right about the crappy pc. Some times games work flawlessly, mainly for newer games, but there's a lot of times, when games are older or more obscure, you have crazy glitches. A few years back I tried running oblivion on my radeon, and it glitches out massively. I mean, yes it was 10 years old at that point but you'd never have that issue on xbox.

Just imagine, these pc fans spent $3000 on a gpu and can't even get an older game to work without it bsod or glitching like crazy.

Don't worry about Fedor, he thinks he's modern day Sigmund Freud. Sad part is, he's just constantly getting owned one way or another

No, he/she isn't. I mean, there's problems with PCs, but this poster got a serious hate boner. I think he's just bad at operating PCs and express his frustration over that on gaming forums.

Most of the times. And that goes for old games too. I personally don't even remember when I had a problem with a game last, and I play many different games on PC daily. I must be some sort of wizard.

I know a lot of PC gamers, and I don't know anyone who bought a gpu for $3000 and couldn't get an older game to work. Not even close to $3000. Haven't even heard of someone like that. Cute story though.

To be fair the switch has faired a lot better than I expected after the dreadful announcement.
