All this talk about HDR. And HDR usually sucks anyway. Just like Ray-tracing has been hit or miss. All bullshit I tell ya.

@girlusocrazy: you're right about the crappy pc.
No, he/she isn't. I mean, there's problems with PCs, but this poster got a serious hate boner. I think he's just bad at operating PCs and express his frustration over that on gaming forums.
@girlusocrazy: Some times games work flawlessly, mainly for newer games,
Most of the times. And that goes for old games too. I personally don't even remember when I had a problem with a game last, and I play many different games on PC daily. I must be some sort of wizard.
@girlusocrazy:
Just imagine, these pc fans spent $3000 on a gpu and can't even get an older game to work without it bsod or glitching like crazy.
I know a lot of PC gamers, and I don't know anyone who bought a gpu for $3000 and couldn't get an older game to work. Not even close to $3000. Haven't even heard of someone like that. Cute story though.
@girlusocrazy
Don't worry about Fedor, he thinks he's modern day Sigmund Freud. Sad part is, he's just constantly getting owned one way or another
Dumb people usually think they own Fedor, as they don't really understand why they don't.
1) hes correct. He might be exaggerating a bit, but many of the things hes talking about are very much true.
2) Recently I tried running subnautica below zero on my radeon 580 4gb gpu. The game would stutter like crazy, and this was on gamepass for PC. It would only resolve when I set it to 1080p lowest settings. Funny how the series S can run this game flawlessly. Forget the series S, even last gen consoles can run it.
3) I guess you must have been hiding under a literal ROCK for the past 2 or 3 years with the crypto nonsense business and covid. There were many many people, alot of them even on this board. You know who you are. That spent $3k on securing a geforce 3080. Sad business, but thats the reality.
4) Im pretty dumb, i'll admit it, but Mr. wannabe freud has consistently been owned by me and others on this board, on a daily basis.
@fedor: You didn't followw your own advice 🙃, and never does
PC gaming the dying platform is more IRRELEVANT than ever before. This fact is helping console fannies 😂
I fixed it for you pedro. After 2 years of covid and $3000 gpus, PC gaming has never been more irrelevant than any time in history. The mass flood of people to consoles hasn't stopped since. Even after the gpu supply and crypto settled down, these prices are STILL too expensive.
I remember the days, that a flagship nvidia gpu was $500 for the geforce 580, or $600 for the geforce 680, yet last year it went all the way to $3000 and yet too many sheep still flooded the market. Do you really think nvidia will back down from over priced gpus after getting a taste of $3000? You PC fanboys are deluded. Nvidia will start to test $5000 for the 4090.
Man, I wonder what this $3000 GPU is. I bought my 3080 Ti for 1200 USD, and that's a high-end one that even the Series X cannot touch.
i dont think theres any clear winners at this stage. i couldnt be less interested in the switch, i gave mine away to my nephews a few years ago, so to me its in last place.
everything else at the minute for me revolves around future potential, what's been promised down the line, less so what's available now. and in that sense the future's looking optimistic for xbox. maybe less so for sony. i'm a bit underwhelmed with my ps5. baffles me why they bother to include a resolution graphics mode on games when the framerate's so poor. may as well come with a warning saying "ps5 pro required to unlock this mode."
i think, broadly speaking, if pc gets all ms studios games day one it'll put real daylight between it and the others. if it gets sony games day one it's good night vienna

Remakes and shovelware, or shovelware and ports. No and no in no particular order.
That said, I do like both both Switch shouldn't even be in the conversation. Great console, but nothing but remasters and games that I have no idea even get on the store.

@blaznwiipspman1: Name these users that paid $3000 for a RTX 3000 series GPU. Everyone on this board that I've seen got one said they got one at MSRP. You must be living under a rock yourself because these past couple of months GPU prices have been steadily declining you can get an RTX 3080 brand new under $800 right now. You also forgot that since mining has crashed miners are trying to sell their GPUs. I just went on ebay and I see several used RTX 3080, 3070 and 3060 Ti being sold around or below MSRP when not too long ago earlier this month people were trying to sell them for $2000 minimum.
It's funny every time there is a GPU shortage because of mining console fanboys come out of the woodwork claiming PC gaming is dead because they just so happen to be wanting to build a gaming PC but their $4000 argument is now true so they can use that to justify why they don't play on PC but are nowhere to be seen once GPU prices are back to normal and PC gaming continues to bigger than ever.
Even during this crisis Steam showed that many gamers were simply just getting gaming laptops and prebuilt desktops to get around the inflated GPU prices and those were selling out like hotcakes too.

@Pedro: @lebanese_boy: @davillain:
Poor pc gamers are now hyping up the scam dsl, ray tracing and 100fps. Well, you did spend $2k plus on a gpu, so I guess you have no choice.
Its pretty sad how far pc gaming has fallen.
blaznwiipspman1 what is your problem? You're always calling DLSS as DSL. I am seeing this for like a year now. Its time to stop. Even my fellow Cringehog89 has noticed.
@NoodleFighter: yes prices came down now, but jeez, it's amazing how short people's memories are. The last 2 years of $3k gpus, no stock, people with literally no lives camping outside bestbuy for days on end just to score a gpu.
Honestly, the ONLY reason pc gaming even matters still is because it's open source nature, and once in a while you want to try something like hooking up occulus. If MS ever made xbox more compatible with other platforms, then PC gaming would be completely useless.
Oh yeah, I used to be a pretty big PC gamer back in rhe day. Back when I could grab a top of the line gpu for $300. Now that nvidia had a taste of selling their gpus for $3k, and they scored tens of billions of dollars in profit with a valuation if 600 billion LOL. Talk about scamming so hard, they somehow managed to hit top of Forbes list by selling video cards. Do you really think they will bring back reasonably cheap cards? Nope, these video card prices will remain at $1k MSRP from now on, and thats for the 4070. The 4080 will MSRP for $1500. Now that nvidia knows they can get away with it.
@hardwenzen: dsl is easier to type out than dlss or whatever. It's the short form version. Plus how much nvidia scams with this nonsense tech, it deserves to be called dsl.
^^^I'm gonna pretend I didn't read that -_-
In any case, moving on. PC is good and I love it, but I'd still buy consoles just to play exclusives, but that's seems to be in the past now. MS & now Sony are porting their games to PC just made my gaming life so much easier, going just gaming PC is all you'll ever need. Nintendo is a hit or a miss so take that for what you will.
@hardwenzen: Pretty ironic considering you routinely type out “fund” instead of “found”. 😂
It ended. I woke up one day, and told myself to stop. He didn't.
@hardwenzen: dsl is easier to type out than dlss or whatever. It's the short form version. Plus how much nvidia scams with this nonsense tech, it deserves to be called dsl.
How the hell is this the short version? You type this anywhere else but SW, and nobody would know wtf you're referring to.
The Switch is hot trash that's unsuitable for current gen gaming. It's taught me to never fall for Nintendo FOMO ever again
It's funny every time there is a GPU shortage because of mining console fanboys come out of the woodwork claiming PC gaming is dead
Best days were when Teh Cell was going to put an end to x86.
HAHAHAKJAJAJAJA
@hardwenzen: its funny, but they all know what I'm talking about
On SW because everyone is used to your stupidity🤭

It's literally fine now and 6900xt's have been selling for $700 for a while now lol.....liar. 🤣
Also bashing PC due to a once in a century pandemic (the actual reason for these prices). Pathetic.
Even after the gpu supply and crypto settled down, these prices are STILL too expensive.
Get a job ya damn bum.

You're nuts with these figures. I already explained this all.
I'll be getting a 4080/90 on launch and it'll eat PS5 for breakfast.
@zaryia: lol you pc fanboys are funny. It's like you all have selective amnesia over the last 2 years where the 6900xt and 3080 were selling for $2000 and $2500. On ebay, i saw some reselling for $4k. There were people camping out at best buy trying to get these cards, I witnessed it myself. Never did I see so many fat and bald men camp out in the middle of winter trying to get a video card. It's almost sad.
As an aside: The only thing more pathetic was the crypto nonsense, and seeing so many fools buying in to a legit ponzi scheme, then seeing those early scammers cashing in and becoming rich over night from a freaking ponzi scheme. It really gave young people the wrong message, that gambling on an easy, and conning pyramid scheme is ok. Invest in pyramid schemes instead of working hard, no wonder the labor shortages are raging. Crypto really made fools out of people. /end crypto rant
Back to pc:
I'm in a good enough current circumstance, that I could buy the flagship gpu, even at $3000, if I wanted to. But I don't, cuz I'm not a moron, and I don't want to get shafted either.
I'm not wrong about the figures at all. Nvidia probably won't over price the next gen cards, with crypto being in the gutter. But they already got a taste of it. The gpu gold rush that nvidia made bank off of, there's no way they will forget it so easily. I expect an msrp of $1100 for the 4080.
PC /Switch/ SX
Working well for me.
Have a PS4 but it's more of a backup.
Id probably give my 2nd favorite console to series X over switch tho, TC is right about exclusives coming to PC. But that's not a bad thing, especially with play anywhere, it's nice being able to carry my progress between PC / xbox. Plus SX has BC games with og Xbox and 360.
PC has always been best the universe.
Just console peasants deny it and game journos only recently learned how to put a graphics card into the PCI-E slot.
Disgusting. It's wrong. But it is what it is.

But those prices have been resolved now, and you're blowing hot air.
even at $3000, if I wanted to. But I don't, cuz I'm not a moron, and I don't want to get shafted either.
6900xt can be gotten for around $700 now, many sales at times.
expect an msrp of $1100 for the 4080.
Doubtful. I will get a 4080 for under that, will need it since I'm moving to 4K.

why would I brag about it? Its just the reality, the last 2 years were a complete and utter disaster for pc gaming. It was FANTASTIC for the gpu manufacturers and tech industry in general, but for the pc gaming community, it was a complete and utter disaster. The number of pc gamers who made a massive switch to xbox and consoles, was unprecedented. Most of those gpu sales were because of the crypto miners, who bought up 5, 6, 10, even 20gpus to mine some dumb fake digital currency.
They finally "resolved", yeah right, the geforce 3080 is still selling for $800 on newegg, which is about $30 above the retail msrp. Thats the CHEAPEST 3080 I could find, after I sorted through with the filters on newegg.
You will eat those words LOL. Just wait, theres no way in hell nvidia will keep their new geforce 4080 for $769.99 MSRP after seeing the hot mess that was the 3080 launch. They know people will buy, the sheep will buy even if its $3k. Why would they sell for $769.99??

Because of a once in a century pandemic that killed million. Grats on your little "win" there buddy. But it's back to normal now and you can go pound dirt.

cheezus, why would I be bragging about a pandemic that killed millions. This and that are totally different topics. Get it through your head, NOBODY is happy about the pandemic, absolutely NO ONE. Must be tough, getting owned constantly on PG and now even on SW.

the thing is, the cost of a PC was heaviIy infIated due to the pandemic. With GPU's being further infIated due to the Cryptocurrencies being trending.
Costs of PC hardware has gone down tremendousIy since. And in the Iong term is arguabIy cheaper than consoIe gaming
cheezus, why would I be bragging about a pandemic that killed millions. This and that are totally different topics.
How can you not understand what I'm saying. The prices you're gloating about were mostly due to that pandemic.....Think Mark...THINK!
You're using once in a century disaster that effected the entire global economy to bash PC. The prices are back down again, anyway so you have no point. Take the L.
now even on SW.
Owned at SW? I don't recall this. Hell, I even "left" SW because me and PC literally won last gen. This place got so boring due to winning so hard here. There was almost no PC challenge threads, because it's win was definitive. Had over 100 high scoring games than the second next system (GS and MC) and was GFX king.
getting owned constantly on PG
WHAT!? 🤣🤣🤣 Is this opposite day?
That's a good one. Q-Anon members over there telling me the tens of thousands of peer reviewed studies, fact checkers, and historical texts in hundreds of threads/topics are all "fake news!" is not ownage. I'm like 5231:2 there 😆. And that "2" is from self corrections before anyone even noticed, within 1 hour, due to a rare source error on one sentence. Dude wow, insulting to even think this.

Lamers Nexus? He's been wrong in the past and is using leaks that could be fake. You're just upset the next gen series of cards will obliterate consoles, hell the current ones already do.
Can't wait for that double-triple FPS of a PS5 at 4K.
@zaryia: you could buy a ps5, an Xbox series x and a switch. Total cost is $1350 or so. Your gpu is $700 on sale, that's just the gpu, and you need to shell out an extra $300 for a solid megawatt psu that can handle these flagship cards because of transient power spikes. The rest of your components will cost another $500. So $1500. Don't forget windows so add another $100. So $1600.
All that, and you still can't play switch games, you ask for console port sloppy seconds, 2 years after the games release. On top of that, dealing with bsod, game crashes, sitting in an office chair, dealing with hackers.
All those amazing pc games are now coming to console because of gamepass and switch.
Dude, I will say you're full of yourself. You're a legend in your own mind, but when I'm over at PG, you get owned a good 50 to 60% of the time.

First thank you for no longer lying about prices by a factor of 4-5x.
Second, yes, we know. PC is more expensive. In life you typically pay MORE for the superior product.Welcome to the last few centuries of modern capitalist economies. This thread was about PC winning SW. Not about PC being more expensive, that's always been true. PC simply offers the overall best gaming has to offer. Lower prices would be nice, but yeah that's just not how the world works.
All that, and you still can't play switch games, you ask for console port sloppy seconds, 2 years after the games release.
A majority of multiplats release in the same month and are FAR better on PC (DF). It gets every MS Exclusive, and the best version. It gets a lot of PS games. It has a few exclusives genres. Add this up. The result in over 100 high scoring titles than the next best system last gen. This gen too possibly. Massive wins.
I will love my 4080/4090 and 2-3x the FPS, way more games, mods, more controllers, more usable displays, and the best online! Woohoo!
On top of that, dealing with bsod, game crashes, sitting in an office chair, dealing with hackers.
I haven't had a bsod or crash in years. In fact my consoles have crashed more recently. They are also unfixable, at least I can fix my own PC issues. My chair is $800 and more comfy than a couch. You do have to deal with hackers, but on the flip side PC makes up nearly all competitive scenes and esports.
You can reduce chances of hackers by going consoles (consoles still have them), but you're also reducing your competitive play option by 90%. Heh.
All those amazing pc games are now coming to console because of gamepass and switch.
The opposite is true as well. PC wins overall.
but when I'm over at PG, you get owned a good 50 to 60% of the time.
Impossible, as per reality: I primarily link fact checks, history/legal texts, and studies. These go unrefuted 99.9% of the time. Perhaps you think someone posting a meme, gifs, or a witty joke in response to them is ownage? That's false. I recall a ~1 error out of thousands, due to a simple source misprint 2 days ago. I can cite 6 years of threads (or 1 month sample) proving it's less than 1%. But lets take it to PM, this is very offtopic and pasting thousands of links/quotes is a ban.
As others have said, PC wins. Everything else is just fighting for second place.
With that said, given that just about everything is released on PC, and Sony and MS are having fewer exclusives, you could argue Nintendo has a large advantage. However, Nintendo is going to Nintendo and that means they will squander it to hell and back.
PC and Nintendo together probably besting gaming combination.
@SolidGame_basic: This thread pops up every week, herms must be fragile
Of course we are fragile. PC gaming has been dying since 1905! You'd be fragile too!
