Switching sides, bye 360 hello PS3!

My experience with the XBOX 360 has been a hugely dissapointing one. My brother had the RROD on his and luckily his was replaced and has worked fine, so far. With 360 who knows what will happen tomorow. I wasnt as lucky with mine, also got RROD, as I got it as a gift, so had no purchase receipt. My only option was modifiying mine with things like the X clamp fix, Penny fix, Extra cooling fans, Setting the console and power brick on a shoe box, and towel overheating which rendered only temporary results. Microsoft let me down with their faulty, highly unreliable, junk console. This is very sad as I chose the 360 over the PS3 for the sheer volume of great games available on 360. I regret my choise and have decided to go back to sony which has never failed me in such a manner as microsoft has. Ill be getting a PS3 soon and would like to hear some opinions and advice from gamers who have already switched. How has the switch to PS3 turned out? Was it a good decision?

Congratulations! I guarantee you'll enjoy your time with the PS3 in 2009, with great exclusive titles coming out, such as Killzone II and God of War III.... and so on.

If you don't own a surround sound system, I'd HIGHLY recommend you to get one. It makes playing games and watching Blu-ray movies THAT much better!

Uh...you can get it replaced for free without a reciept. The first time you get it fixed you register it under your name. I don't know where you pulled this receipt junk from. New account for this? Hmm... :roll:

I got that receipt junk from Microsoft, when the frienly lady at the other end of the phone line requested it because of the purchase date printed on it. But thats not the point anyway, the point is that the 360 is unreliable and as I will switch to PS3 i would like to hear some opinions.jagcivtec

Dude, it IS the point, because you are lying to everyone in here. I am not doubting that the 360 has problems. I am doubting you entire story, however. I have sent mine in twice, helped my roommate send his, helped both of my brothers send theirs, and I never once needed a receipt for anything.

Same herre, most likely. I'm paying $50 a year to watch everyone quit in multiplayer. Why pay to sit in a lobby when I can do it for free?

You should try MGS 4 and Little Big Planet and when it comes GET KILLZONE 2 that game will be the shyt it's the second on the preorder list.

congrats man, i did the same a lil over a year ago. after my 2nd i decided to go ps3 and in no way regret it. i still have my 3rd 360 but i've only touched it a handfull of times since i bought my ps3 honostly. i think you'll be happy with it. in fact, i think you'll be pleased with how much more the ps3 offers out the box. i was pretty amazed actually...

anyway, the only thing you have to watch is the early ports. a few are terrible (i'm look'n at you SC double agent) but most are perfectly fine. 95% of multiplats are the same, don't let the fanboys sway you.

i would recomend (since i'm not sure if you've ever played any ps3 games) uncharted, mgs4, heavenly sword to name a few. the only real disapointing exclusives i've played are rfom and socom. both are terrible imo. i've got zero clue why cows love them so much. good luck chief...

Reciept? Wow, such lies anger me. I think we can all agree no truth is in involved with the TC's story. What really makes me wonder is how people complain about RRoD so much, and really, its two weeks without a game console while Microsoft repairs it for free (no reciept needed). Can people seriously not handle two weeks without they're console? I'm totally against the "no life" statement but really...tktomo01
