Forget MP3 and SPG. On the non-gamer front, I think that MySims will sell DROVES of Wiis. I'm not a Sims fan, but if PC sales were any indication, this game will be huge (much like Wii Big Brain Academy, I predict).
Check out MySims here

With MySims you get to interact with others in your personal community. The one, gigantic flaw that could come of this is that the developer will throw the Sims gameplay out the window in favor of basing the game entirely on interacting with the other people. I hope that doesn't happen.-The-G-Man-
The game being a flop doesn't seem likely. Alread Maxis seems to be putting a large amount of effort into this, unlike the sub-par Sims 2 for XBOX.

not only that..but being able to actually build your own furniture seems like a great new feature rather than purchacing pre-made items from a catalog like the other sims[QUOTE="Maelkav"][QUOTE="-The-G-Man-"]With MySims you get to interact with others in your personal community. The one, gigantic flaw that could come of this is that the developer will throw the Sims gameplay out the window in favor of basing the game entirely on interacting with the other people. I hope that doesn't happen.Shinobishyguy

Unfortunate but very true; the system only need have the word " Nintendo " on it to sell to the masses willing to spend $250.00 for a $150.00 piece of low tech gadgetry ! Sorry sheep, it's just the way I see it.
When the price is right, I will pick one up and prob. enjoy the sim game on it ;)

Sorry, but your argument doesn't hold up. The same could be said about the 360 with Halo 3 and the "Microsoft/XBOX" label. The exact same thing could be said about the PS3 (ummm....it's Playstation. Playstation has just of a strong name as the Big N) and games like MGS4 and the FF series.
Nintendo gc disagrees ;)Unfortunate but very true; the system only need have the word " Nintendo " on it to sell to the masses willing to spend $250.00 for a $150.00 piece of low tech gadgetry ! Sorry sheep, it's just the way I see it.

I hear ya but ";N"; learned a valuable lesson and has intentionaly kept supply short on Wii and has had the effect of making people want the Wii more.
Had they done the same with GC ; I believe it would have sold alot more ! ;)
I hear ya but ";N"; learned a valuable lesson and has intentionaly kept supply short on Wii and has had the effect of making people want the Wii more. Had they done the same with GC ; I believe it would have sold alot more ! SecretPoliceThey've sold through 6.5 million consoles - and you think they are "intentionally" holding back supply? So, you're saying Nintendo could have potentially sold alot more Wii at this point in time? Considering they're still selling out and all...

Well, Nintendo made its sale quota, so some people believe that they held out supplies until April...
moot point, since it's April now.

I'm saying they sold 6 mil b/c of the restricted supply - yes - ask yourself this, if they were piled up on the shelf; would some of the people who bought one b/c they figured it's a hot comodity not lose a little enthusiasm to purchase it knowing they could come back any day of the week and purchase it without a problem?
Tell me there are not many who have buyers remorse after having bought the Wii and for some time now and stating " it's colecting dust" Maybe it's just me i dunno?
At this point I don't think the Wii needs a system seller.DaysAirlinesTruth. First, it has to be in stock, then they should start releasing the system sellers.

If you just look around these forums enough, you will see that EVERY system has a group of "buyer's remorse" people who say that they don't enjoy their 30/PS3/or Wii. Just because a few people say that their system is "collecting dust" doesn't automaticaly make it a crap system.

I'm sure there are people that bought a PS3 and are saying the same thing. :| And, no, I don't think Nintendo held back supply - that's ALOT of systems to pump out over 4 months. At Circuit City in Atlanta, we get regular shipments - the problem is, they sell out very quickly.Didn't Nintendogs sell like more than 4 million units? So I'm assuming the Wii version will have the same impact. Other than that maybe a Brain Age game or something along the lines of Wii Sports. phatkavNintendogs has already passed the 12 million mark. :|

I was looking at US numbers, but you are right, it did cross the 12 million mark. Â

as for buyers remorse, where are you getting your information? from posters here? come on, you should know that this forum doesn't reflect the views of the majority.

That's a massively high sales statistic. Nintendogs Wii is most definitely in the works. ;)[QUOTE="phatkav"][QUOTE="HeedleGlavin"][QUOTE="phatkav"]Didn't Nintendogs sell like more than 4 million units? That's a massively high sales statistic. Nintendogs Wii is most definitely in the works. ;) Actually, no. IIRC, the development team behind Nintendogs said that they wouldn't make a Wii Nintendogs because it doesn't have the features that make the DS version so successful (touch screen, microphone, etc. ). And quite rightly so. It just wouldn't be as good. Please Log In to post.
