I would go with Final Fantasy...way too many good games.

Shin Megami Tensei which includes the Persona series. All those games are great with dark stories, good gameplay, and cool characters. I own every SMT game released in the US and the Persona 2 Innocent Sin only released in Japan. Wish I had the SNES games though. I love the franchise.

I'm not big on JRPGs, but I am having a lot of fun with the new Dragon Quest.

I refuse to vote because I like 4 out of those 6.

No Tales = not a good poll.

The Ys series and Final Fantasy series I suppose.

Shin Megami Tensei which includes the Persona series. All those games are great with dark stories, good gameplay, and cool characters. I own every SMT game released in the US and the Persona 2 Innocent Sin only released in Japan. Wish I had the SNES games though. I love the franchise.

It used to be Final Fantasy, but since they decided to turn it into a Japanese teenage soap opera space fantasy, Persona is now my favorite.

I would have to go with Final Fantasy, Persona coming in second place.

FF7, FF9, Persona 3, and 4 are all in my top 5 list so I'll go with both Final Fantasy and Persona.

the Chrono games are the only JRPGS ive ever finished. Chrono Cross i finished multiple times so Chrono for sure.

1. Final Fantasy: more good games FF6,7,8,10

2. Persona: Only the first one was meh, and eternal punishment was basically more of the same.

The rest never got into them.

Shin Megami Tensei is my favorite series: my favorites being SMT: Nocturne, Persona 2, P3 and Devil Survivor.

Second favorite is Final Fantasy: my favorites being FFVI, IV, IX and XII.

This. Out of those, I guess Final Fantasy. I haven't played any Persona games yet, though.

Xenogears & Xenosaga (they're basically one unit).

When the Tales' series goes under, buy Monolith back Bamco, and start work on Episode IV. Make it with a reasonable budget, advertise it well, and hopefully it will save your company. Then they'll be a JRPG on the market with a good story, a new installment to Xenosaga, and what will effectively be a Xenogears remake. Yayyyyyy ....

final fantasy, even though they didn't do a great job with XIIIm i still like it more then all the other series on that list combine. I couldn't get into anyone of them

While I'll say BOF4 is, without hyperbole, one of the best games ever made, the rest of the series isn't very good.
