I have both:

• the official PS3 wireless stereo headset
• PS3 BT headset 2.0

Both are very good products, haven't had a single problem with them.

the only thing i will say about the wireless stereo headsets is.. that the battery life is pretty short.

I just plug in my headsets with the usb cable and they automatically register. so... yeah its a very easy process.
