Glad i ordered JP CE MGSV. The detail on the arm and how it moves is impressive. The MGS fanboy in me is willing to pay anything for it.

The film doesn't place him on a pedestal perse, but if you are looking for the movie to beat you over the head with the destruction he ultimately causes, then you really won't see it outside of one scene.

The movie gives a more objective look at him as being someone who had to compromise his principals in order to live out his dream of building planes.

Why did you order the JP one when it was available on Amazon the other day for cheaper?

After beating Tekken 6's scenario campaign (which kinda sucked), I'm not sure what I'm going to play next. I tried Shining Force out, but I'm not sure that game is really my thing.

The latest Flash ep is freaking amazing.

Feedback appreciated, particularly on my Vine experiment. I thought it clicked for this type of game.

I'm caving an buying Final Fantasy Type-0 HD after work. Soundtrack is great, gameplay looks good, and it comes with a Final Fantasy Versus XIII demo. I figure after highly anticipating the game for close to 9 years, even if it's been reworked, I need to check it out.

You need to, not only is Type-0 pretty good (reminds me of Crisis Core mixed with FF8), the demo for FF15 is a 10/10 would bang repeatedly (twice on thursdays). FF15 might actually be the first FF game to have amazing VA, Noctis sounds pretty amazing since I thought he was gonna be loud and annoying like the pos Tidus was. Ignis steals the show with his class. Prompto is the usual goofy guy, and Gladiolus is the typical big brother/tough guy.

Also the engine they are using is a "modified" engine of the engine used in a Realm Reborn.

Everything @Ballroompirate said is on point. Type-0 takes some getting used to, but it's pretty good. VA is absolute poop mind you.

FFXV is sex on a cracker.

In other news, I started picking up pieces for my new PC. I grabbed a Samsung 840 SSD for Windows and a 3TB HDD for just about everything else. Grabbed a BitFenix Prodigy case:

Which is pretty damn sexy.

The FF XV demo was alright. It has a ton of issues that they need to address especially dealing with combat in general and the environment, while pretty, was a crap ton of nothing. Its a demo though so problems aside, it was enjoyable. I can also agree with Ball when it comes to the VA. It's well done, and Noctis doesn't sound like a freaking child like most main characters do in these games. FF Type-0 so far is good but just kind of throws you out there.

Was it worth 50 or so bucks? Eh I guess... but then again I tend to be a sucker for Square stuff. I was dumb enough to buy Chrono Trigger DS for 40 bucks after all.

Gah! Ordered all my PC parts except my GPU (gonna wait a paycheck), so it looks like i'll be rocking:

1. i5 4690k
2. 8gb RAM (upgrading to 16gb in a few weeks)
3. 600W EVGA PSU
4. GTX 970 (grabbing in a couple of weeks)
5. 120GB Samsung 840 SSD (Windows)
6. 3TB HDD for everything else

Kind of excited.

Not bad. For the most part my machine is quite a bit different then your new one, but of course it depends on budget and what you have in mind for your PC. I tend not to be a space hog so 3 TB is overkill. My SSD is 512 GB, and memory is at 16 GB for now on my machine, but that's because I do some small scale stuff on VMware. I think my favorite part that I didn't have before was that SSD. It is incredible how much faster things have gotten since I got one. Even if you know how they work, its still an amazing thing to see when actually used.

The rest is completely different. What your rocking is a bonafide gaming machine though so I guess it makes sense.

It's nice to hear that the SSD helps with the speed. My budget was around $1300-1400 which i'm pretty much in line with. It's also going to be a HTPC which means the space is pretty much a necessity :P It's why I went with a micro-ATX build.

What CPU/GPU do you use?

@lundy86_4: I use an i7-5820K, and my GPU sucks... a 670 GTX. I wanted the good processor but the card I could live without tbh. Might want to upgrade later though.

My budget is pretty much unlimited right now lol. I mean sure... I try to save but I got no problems with adding expensive stuff.

I'm tempted to grab a 980, if my PSU can handle it. For the extra $200, I can live with it.

The 970 seems like a pretty damn nice card. I feel that if your GF loves you, she should definitely get you a 970 :P

Just a GPU upgrade (if you wanted to) would be more than fine. That seems like a nice comp.

I wish I had an unlimited budget. SOmetimes it's worth a few steps up for the money. For this build, I tried to be a little budget conscious. Next year, I might build something a little more heavy duty.

A 670 doesn't really suck. It's not high end anymore, but it can still handle many games pretty well

Been seeing what my 970 is capable of. Its passing the 290 and 290x in graphic scores for benchmarks :P
Got a disappointment when it comes to the core clock though :/ doesn't reach 1500mhz.
But my memory clock, holy, I still haven't hit a wall yet. So far I've tried +550 putting it at (2028) you x4 to get the actual number. So 8112mhz.

Adding two Titan X's to my basket added almost £2000 to the price.

Had to work late today, plus a new episode of Arrow, so I didn't get the chance to play as much as I wanted. But I did lay FFXV. There's a lot to love with the game so far. Really, I was just basking in the surreality of it all. I was actually playing FFVSXIII. Sure, now it's FFXV, but that still doesn't change the fact that I've waited over 8 years for this bad boy and I've finally gotten to play something of it.

I'm planning to play Type-0 this weekend, hopefully Friday evening. We'll see how it is; I enjoyed Crisis Core so there's that.
