System Wars Lounge v62: In Memoriam inb4uall

His username was @inb4uall. Briefly, he also posted with the account @Jonwh18. You all probably came across him at some point or the other- he was a person with strong opinions, and he stated them emphatically. He knew what he liked, and he knew what he didn't, and he made sure everyone knew about it all.

Most of all, inb4uall liked to have some fun. He loved to mess around on the board. Some of his greatest trolling exploits included deleting an entire offsite website that a Gamespot union created, or trolling everyone on Gamespot, which included the staff and admin.

He single handedly could take on every single Vita fanboy on this board all by himself, and hold his own. But in spite of his 'Nintendo fanboy' colors, he was a fan of games- from Halo to Fable to Ratchet and Clank to Pokemon, he loved all games, and he did not care where they came from. He may have had issues with systems, or even companies - he was instrumental in propagating the lolVita meme - but that only happened when he felt he was not being catered to as a gamer.

He was a good friend, and a genuinely fun person. Earlier today, he passed away after losing a long battle with blood cancer.

This lounge is dedicated to his memory. Please be respectful accordingly.

I was going to write something witty here but I can't find the right words. Cancer sucks and its taken another life. RIP man, you will be missed.

RIP inb4uall. I remember how he kept on talking about what he was dealing with like a year ago and the treatment he was getting to deal with it, but I never expected it to get this bad.

I thought this thread was because he got banned or something and then I read the last part.

I am truly sorry for him. This really sucks. I've spoken to him many times and laughed when he made some funny comments on games like Uncharted.

My prayers go out to him and his family and all the people who are battling cancer. **** cancer, I've lost family members because of it. May you rest in peace Jon.

I don't really come to Gamespot on Saturdays but one of my XBL pals told me about this news. I had no idea that inb4uall was that sick. I'm really sorry to hear this shocking news. Again R.I.P inb4uall.

The lolvita movement has been a big thing that continues to this day. Its really interesting to see that he was instrumental to the cause. I'll miss his posts. He was a really cool guy who loved games. Rest in peace, man

Maybe we should stop taking things for granted and start treating each other better while we're still on this earth. Even in a place like this.

That's terrible news. Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way, my grandfather passed to it a couple years ago, but it's a tad surreal with a user on the board. Users come and go, get banned or move on from gaming, but there are certain users that stand out as ones you remember. He was one of those users.

I shed a tear when i heard this news. The days where we would stupidly fight System wars, back when this site wasn't as classy as it is now, those are now are precious memories. When I first got Pokemon Y, he was one of the first people I battled with online.
This is not like seeing a friend pass away, but its more personal: like a comrade has left me.

So, here are some wise words in memory of our own departed:

1. Enjoy Each Other: For those of you who remember me on this website or if I remember you, just know that It was extremely fun going back and forth setting up useless debates whether Sony/Nintendo/Xbox had games or not. I thank you guys for the fun memories. My heart racing waiting for a comment to show up on these forums was something else. Or having a fellow member join in on your side of the argument. I'll say, this site has a bit to do with why I love debates to this day.

2. Enjoy your video games: I got lectured/pointed out for spending a lot of time indoors this summer. And I'm perfectly fine with that. I was enjoying every bit of it, going through my backlog and enjoying my precious hobby. It is such an amazing thing, to play games, and go online to see who else has something to say about it; that's how I found this website, and that's how I got to meet such wonderful people who share the same interests as I do.

Jeez, this is terrible news... I didn't know him too well, but I did see his posts and found them pretty funny. He seemed like a great guy and I'm so sorry for his passing. I'm glad to have seen his posts and listen to some of the P2M with him in them. I'll keep him and his family in my prayers. Rest in peace Jon.

You guys can have RG3, he's more fragile than a box full of wine glasses and still makes questionable decisions despite having an elite WR group. Colt McCoy seems better in every way.
