Alright. Tell me this. What makes exclusives so important? We certainly have enough threads on the board about them. When someone isn't arguing about graphics, they're arguing about exclusives.

Sorry, but I don't have the time to play every "amazing" exclusive game that's out. Any PC gamer will know what I'm talking about: you have to pick and choose. Yeah, I understand that exclusive games tend to be better than their multiplat counterparts, and that they help sell a system, but that's only a tendancy, not a rule.

Exclusives are not that important, IMO. As long as the game comes out on the system i have i don't care what other systems have that game too.

Exclusives are important because they make buying console A better than console B. If both consoles have the same games, you'll just buy the cheaper one, more often than not.

Good exclusive can sell bad hardware. I own a ton consoles not because I collect consoles but because there are games I want to play that I needed said consoles for.

Yea, Motorstorm and Crackdown are shining examples of exclsuives for consoles (PS3 and 360 respectively) that were mediocre.  Just because something is exclusive doesn't mean you have to buy it.  If I bought all the PC exclusives more than half that selection would be sub par games.

Depends on your loyalty.  Some of the people I play Resistance with will not touch a 360 ever no matter whats on it.  It makes sense to buy the cheaper console though and many probably would.
