System Wars, whats the point?

first of all im not bashing anybody for having their opinions because thats part of what makes you you.. but i would like to know what is the point of system wars.. isnt every topic just a big debate of opinions and not being progressive at all? also from my little time on this board, there seems to be more trolls in system wars then in any other board on this site. Somene please shine some light and plase explain what system wars is.

Spreading hate in a contained area away from the rest of the forums.

i don;t know, but i get alot of new info on upcomeing games from people trying to claim ownage, it saves me the trouble lol

First off, there aren't really a whole lot of trolls. But, there are tons of pathetic people who spend their time complaining and how everyone should get along.
