You know what I'm talking about.I don't thinkof us would pony up $250 for a single game, unless it was really exceptional...so whats the number you wait for when you buy a system?
Personaly, I need at least 5 games to justify it

0 I'll just buy whatever at launch and I'll generally like at least 1 game even if I had little to no interest in any.
Depends.
If it has just launched. it could just have one or two games I want and I would consider buying it. it's just been launched so there's many games yet to be releaased for it. I would assume that there will be some games I will want to buy for it later on.
If it's much later in it's life though, it will need to have more games that interest me in order for me to buy it.
Just one. I built a pc last year because I had a feeling that it was time for a new Elder Scrolls game to be announced and my old pc wouldn't be able to run it. But that one game turned into many thanks to Steam. :P
Usually 20-30, although backwards compatiblility with systems I didn't previous own but wanted games on is enough for me to go ahead even if the 20-30 game requirement isn't reached.
I guess just one, bought a 360 for Gears of War/Eventually Halo 3. And bought the wii for Twilight Princess (wanted to try with wiimote and such.)Badosh
I bought a Wii for Twilight Princess...and a 3DS for Ocarina of Time: 3DS.
Both are more than worth it... I feel incredibly satisfied with the systems just for those two games alone.
