although i dont hate it i have to say Pokemon...i iwas expecting something new for the DS but they betrayed me :(

I would have to say Halo and Rachet and clank. I love both Halo 3 and Rachet and Clank: Future, but neither do anything NEW.

Before you crush me about the forge features, yes they are awesome, but the gameplay itself hasn't changed at all and thats why the game got old very fast to me.

but Halo has only had 3 games and Halo 3 did everything that Halo 2 did but much better (I really did not like halo 2) sonic is way worse because there have been a ton of them over the past few years none of them have done anything drastically new and they have just sucked.

This is true, but I promise you sonic is worse. I used to be a huge sonic fan and I rent every sonic game that comes out (except the one that came out on the 360) and I have been dissapointed with every single one since Sonic Adventure 2 and that one was only decent. The rest have been strait up bad (yes even Sonic and the Secret Rings) Dynasty worriors is also worse. Pokemon is worse(although still good). Mario party is worse.

ff was never rehashed EVERy single time-new story-new characters-new BATTLE SYSTEM-new attacks-new weapons-new magiks-new EVERYTHING..the only thing rehashed were some character name which were iconic like CID and some monsters like shiva and ifrit BUt these were mascots of the game and only 1% of the game

MGS is anything but rehashed; it's changed completely over the course of the series.

Mario Party and Dynasty/Samurai Warriors.

Dynasty Warriors hasn't done anything new since it stopped being a fighting game (i.e. since Dynasty Warriors 2), and Mario Party hasn't done anything new since the series was created.

yea, i think thats what i originally meant. the games are all different from each other, but who mario is and what he does is the same crap over and over and over again

The actual mario platformers arent really rehashed. They are all different enough to have their own distinguishable style. (the same reason I don't think that FF is a completely rehashed series) but the character mario is over used character in gaming. The reason they do it is simple though. He is nintendo's mascot and he is the most recognized character in gaming. So it's kind of hard to blame nintendo. I still wish Mario Party would burn and die, I don't get why it is so freaking popular it was stale after Mario Party 3.

Edit: Mario party gets my vote for most rehashed. Either that or Dynasty Warriors.

people come on, let's forgetthe fanatisms we all can agree that EA sports games are the very best definition of rehash, I'm talking about Madden, Fifa, NBA, NHL etc.alexin_05

Nope. It's pretty obvious that about 90% of Madden bashers are extremely unknowledegable about it. Madden added the weapons system and EA has innovated with the skill stick.

You can think that Madden is a rehash all you want, just know that you're wrong. See Gametrailers' Madden 08 video review for details.
